I recently got married in October 2000 and in January 2001 my husband began going through depression and high levels of stress and withdrawal. Needless to say, this is his first marriage at age 37 and I believe that due to his insecurities and fear of rejection and failure (bad upbringing) that he requested that I give him "time & space" to find himself and figure out what the "right thing to do" was. So, out of obediance to God's word, I have done that and for 4 months now I have deligently sought the lord as well as seek prayer through numerous sources.
I recently come back to our home state because I feel the lord led me back here since this is where my husband has wanted to come back to since we moved to another state 3 years ago. God has opened up numerous opportunities for us including one for my husband to come back and get his old job back of 18 years (which has been his hearts desire for 3 years) However, for some reason my husband has not made a decision about this when that was all he talked about for 3 years.
I believe that God has turned up the heat on my husband because he has just about hit the bottom with respect to financial, physical and mental areas. My husband has not sought a divorce (PRAISE GOD) and he is extremely lost right now. He did ask me why God wouldn't help him which was the first time he acknowledged his need for God's help and that opened the door for me to share about Jesus.
I am giving you some background in the hopes that it will help with my specific prayer requests. I am trying to be a "wife of noble charactor" but I feel like the "unloved women that is married" as referred to in God's word. I need all the prayer I can get right now and I am asking for your prayer support during this time of pain and suffering for both of us. I believe my husband is in just as much pain as I as he would not have married me just a few months back.
My prayer requests are as follows:
1. Salvation for my husband
2. That God would deliver him from depression, and more specifically, the fears & insecurities that led him to abandon me and walk away from the "love of his life".
3. That God would protect our marriage during this time of my husband's turmoil, especially from divorce and that he will bring our marriage to restoration.
4. That God will continue to comfort me in my time of pain & suffering.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for lifting both of us up in prayer. God Bless you!

Dear Abandon, i pray that you will be a light of the Lord unto your husband. I pray that the Lord gives you the strenth and courage to trust in God to save your husband and heal him. Place your husband into the arms of the Lord and trust Him with it all. Do not give into the enemies lies or temptations to destroy your marriage or make you give up hope. Repent of past sins that you may have not dealt with so you will have confidence in the Lord. You have choosen a hard road to be with a non christian. Still God allowed it and will work out all things for the good of those who love Him. I pray God gives you wisdom and rest during your trials. In Jesus name, Amen
Mark
