Thanks to all who offered prayers and encouragement in response to my recent posts. Last night, H and I had an all-night Undivided Attention session...the first time we have been able to talk about our differences without a big blow-up in weeks.
We emerged at daybreak with humbled hearts and a new commitment to craft our marriage based upon God's expectations instead of our own.
Please continue to pray for our success...personally, i feel a new sense of purpose and power. At the same time, i feel a little raw emotionally which is in response to taking the first step to making myself vulnerable to him again (he may be feeling the same). I can't remember when he opened up about his deepest feelings (or when i didn't view it as a personal attack).
We have been reminded that the scripture that instructs us as Christians to confess our sins to one another ALSO APPLIES TO SPOUSES!!!! [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
For anyone else awaiting answers to prayer, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. The answers may come sooner than you think. My hardest test was in waiting for God to intervene at His pace and not my own. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] Sometimes i tried to prod the horse along so to speak...it never works. Only God knew when we would be truly ready to accept His correction and help.
May God Bless You All...i will continue to pray for you, too.

What great news! Thank you so much for sharing that with us - we all need encouragement now and again and this is very exciting.
God bless you both and draw you closer to Him and to each other.
