Dear Heavenly Father,<P>Please help me. You know I'm not the best at prayers for myself, but after what happened today I am very certain you are telling me something. But is it from you or is Satan just at work? Only you know if I should keep this job. <P>Please keep Satan away from me at this point I can't handle him right now, so I'm asking you to. Lord I'm asking that if you do not want me to have a job, will you please make provisions for us? You know we aren't materialistic (well, in our eyes anyway). Lord can it possibly be your will for us to be homeless? You have humbled us in every other way. <P>Lord you know H and I will do anything you ask of us. Your timing is always perfect yet I am feeling perfect timing is long over so you must want us somewhere else, will you provide a way to get there? <P>Lord I am feeling at the very bottom even equal to what brought us to you. I am feeling my faith is being tested. Why do you let the evil people on top and let your workers just crumble sometimes?<P>PLEASE HELP US NOW!!!<P>Lord I pray for everyone on this site, and you know the special ones I have prayers for. Please bring all of their marriages back together as you intended them to be. Lord I pray your forgivness in being so selfish with my thoughts lately, I know there are people in worse situations than us and I pray your will on them all.<P>Lord I lay all these things on my heart out to you. Dear Very Hurt,<P>I believe that you are not materialistic. The Lord wants us to be blessed but He blesses us most when we have less because then we have more time for Him. He needs our prayers right now because this world is getting more pagan every single day. This is why Christians are going to have to suffer a little. But the Lord is right with you, sweetie. He just loves you to pieces. He is so happy with your prayer and he covers you with His Divine Love. Nothing is more powerful than the love of the Lord.<P>You can't see what is going to happen next so you suffer. You just have to trust. It's actually pretty easy to trust when you consider He keeps track of 5 billion of us and made trillions of stars. I am sure He has your case under control - but He wants you to draw closer to Him so He can give you bigger missions and you'll be "trained."<P>I think a lot of us can feel the urgency of our calls. We need to answer the Lord and witness with our lives for Him.<P>Jesus, Bless Very Hurt today with your special love that covers her from head to toe. Show her Your Divine Mercy and remind her that You know how many hairs are on her head and You have the situation totally under control as long as she allows you to step in. Thank you so much for your prayers. I have a question I hope you can all help me with. This may sound rather off beat and please don't respond with your initial instinct but really think about it.<P>I'm thinking I have my needs mixed up with wants. We Americans are so rich (in $$$, not God). How many thousands of centuries have people not had houses, do not get to eat everyday, do not have electric, or running water or even what I would call decent water. People have lived without these things since we were thrown out of the garden of Eden. I think we concider too many things a need when it is really a want.<P>Don't get me wrong, I am still praying for them even if it is a want. And Lord help me I find this very humiliating (I'd like to crawl in a hole and die right now).<P>Yes, I am having much trouble getting rid of the worries. I found myself very angry at God last night. I have this person, well a family member who has, how can I say this...he is in prison for something much worse than I bet anyone on this board has ever heard of or seen in movies. I have been working on him with God for sometime now and I have a good feeling God is really working on him, I think this because of the change in tone to his questions. However I feel I cannot talk to him right now because if he knew my situation I'm sure he would say 'where is your God now' and I feel it would ruin everything I've said to him so far. I know this is getting long but I'm getting to the point. Part of my anger towards God said if you pull off a big miracle now--wow what a sight that would be for him. <P>Justifying? Yes, I'm sorry, I think I am. I am mad that with all the evil he and many others have done and living quite large yet God allows his own people to suffer so. Yes, I know he is in prison now, but it's all still waiting for him when he gets out unless God gets through to him. Another thought, he has a place to sleep every night and food to eat not only once, but THREE times every single day.<P>I know I am rambling, I'm sorry.<P>I do have one other question? When they start foreclosure, how long do you have to get out?<P>As you can see, I still need many prayers. Lord help me not only physically here on earth but more importantly, help me in this spiritual fight.

Hi VeryHurt,<P>Your letter makes me think of lots of things. <P>First, that God prefers us to be poor. So maybe being rich is not a blessing after all. <P>His son was poor. Jesus' mother didn't even have the money to BURY her own son. So you are sharing in their trials.<P>Being poor is very hard work because every problem has to be weighed and measured and given a priority. Yet being poor can also mean a release from the THINGS we have too much of that take our attention off the Lord.<P>How many times do you think: I'll pray after I clean the house - or - after I vacuum or rearrange the closets or after I put away the groceries.<P>There is a lot of scientific evidence that Mary's home in Nazareth was transported during the Crusades to Loreto, Italy. (It takes forever to give the evidence - look it up if you're interested.) Anyway this house was about just a little bit bigger than a kitchen and a bathroom or little den. It couldn't possibly contain much because there would be no place to put it.<P>Since she didn't have much stuff to put away, much stuff to clean - she did have time to pray. And look how God rewarded her.<P>Remember what Jesus said about the rich man and the eye of the needle - it is hard to be rich and go to heaven. You get too blinded and too distracted by THINGS to concentrate on the Lord.<P>Anyway, you do need a house so I pray that they don't foreclose it and I pray that your finances will be mended to give you what you need.<P>Lord, Jesus Christ, You are the Son of God, the Father Almighty and Creator. Your name is the most powerful ever and through your name nothing is impossible. Jesus, in Your Holy Name, I ask you to help this couple with their finances. Grant them a reprieve. Show them You are God and have the situation under control. Allow them to discern Your will and Your actions. Lift any temptations or anger they may have. Bless them profusely with Your grace and bring them closer to You in this trial. Allow them to rest on Your Divine Shoulders, Lord. Lift their spirits and increase their faith. Amen.<BR>

Hi very hurt, i can testify that God will provide and usually at the last moment. Its a faith thing. I just recently got a new job after being unemployed for almost 5 months. I struggled to survive on unemployment. But God carried me thru and at the last moment i got the job. My faith has grown thru this and the Lord has done this to me more than once, but i think i got the message this time. I just drew closer to the Lord thru it all and found more peace than ever. Im also not going to take Gods grace for granted anymore and apppreciate the job He has given me and not say thanks see ya when i need ya. <P>Oh i can relate to the where is your God now. My sister told me that a few months ago when she decided to keep my son from me cause , well i made her mad and she figured i was too poor to afford an atty(she has guardianship) so she thought she could finish me off by hurting me some more.(i was almost homeless and of course it was my fault and i couldnt possibly know God) I told her i was going to revoke her guardianship. She went down the next day and told a judge i threatened to kidnap my son. Then she calls and tells me im an angry person. Im finally finding forgiveness in my heart for her. I pray God has mercy on her. Oh , she told me she is doing what God wants, yet she doesnt believe in God. Funny how that works. Still i pray a lot for her and am sadened by her unsaved condition.<P>Ive been to Mexico so ive seen how spoiled we are in the US. God has blessed this nation to much and it shows. If you know the bible well, you can see history repeat itself. The more a society is blessed, the further they stray from God. I believe God is calling many of us out from serving the god of comfort and turning us to the creator of the heavens and the earth. It took me a while to see how blessed i acually was by my trials. Now i know. I praise God ive been thru what ive been thru.It changed me and i know the Lord so much more now than i ever did.<P>I pray that the Lord continues to make Himself more real and known to us who have taken the narrower road and believe nothing is to great for the Lord to handle. VeryHurt, I don't know if you saw my reply in my first thread but I told you maybe you kept reading my posts as God has laid you on my heart, too.<P>I remember reading I think in a Swindoll or Lucado book about how it seems like answers to prayer are a lot like the story of Lazarus--in the natural, it seemed like Jesus arrived 4 days too late but that wasn't the case at all in God's much bigger plan. <P>Lord, I pray for my sister and her family. You know the reality of her needs. You know she treasures and cherishes You more than anything. You have brought her into relationship with You and You love her. We ask You to shine Your favor upon her practical needs and grant her incredible peace that passes understanding. Father, we ask for Your miracle-working wonderful power to flow through every aspect...not just the imminent fiscal needs but every area where healing is needed for each family member. <P>We pray for the one in prison to see Christ in VH. And that he would seek Your forgiveness.<P>Lord, Your word promises "a future and a hope" and so we trust in Your plans to bless our sister today and always. Thank You for the growth this is bringing and for the testimonies and wise insights that we can live on a lot less than we presume. Thank you all very much for your prayers. Lostpup, I will also be praying for your sister--this touches my heart in a way you will never know. Children really touch my heart. One of the things that has really bothered me through all this is, just before things got to a desparate level, we were praying for God to open up means for us to adopt unwanted children, there are so many that no one wants and yet they make the initial cost so high it's almost impossible for the common person to adopt them. Well, it disapoints me, but aparently it isn't his timing for that.<P>Things have not changed at all yet, but I am feeling less anxious. I am thankful for this happening during garden season, we don't have anything else, but we have corn to eat. If God doesn't want us in this house, we will move. If he wants us in another house, he will provide a way for it. If he doesn't want us in any house, well we have a car (with no loan, so if he doesn't want us in that he will set it on fire or something ). Anyway He will have his way and I won't fight it, but I'm still praying His will isn't what I'm thinking.<P>I am confessing being angry as a sin, and also doubting that God really will help. I am so sorry for the way I have acted toward Him lately. I have many other people to pray for rather than myself. So I am also confessing my selfishness.<P>Freshstart, yes I read your response, but I see where you got the job (haven't read that one yet though--it's next). Praise be to God. He really has blessed you, but I'll still pray for your H in his works (both kinds!)
