Below is an excerpt from an email a friend sent my mom. I wanted to share it with everyone here.
I've just been thinking that God must love you very much because there is a lot of love and caring in you, and God is Love. So there's no way he cannot love you lots and lots. He will take care of you and those you love, 'cause that's the loving thing to do. So trust him to find a
way and always be there for you, even when it may not seem like it.
Remember what I said the other day about God and the sour notes? It comes from Bishop Fulton J. Sheen's book, The Life of Christ.
He said:
"Suppose a musician in an orchestra freely strikes a sour
note...which immediately passes out into space....That false note is traveling out into space at the rate of more than a thousand feet per second; and as long as time endures there will be discord in the universe.
Is there any way to restore harmony to the world? It can only be done by someone coming in from eternity and stopping the note in its wild flight. But will it still be a false note? The harmony can be restored on one condition only. If that note is made the first note in a new melody, then it will become harmonious."
When Christ came into the world, that was a great moment when God stopped the sour note of discord in the old humanity descended from Adam and created a new harmony in the new humanity of Jesus.
For all of time, God has been turning mankind's false notes into the first notes of new melodies. He does that for each of us all our lives, over and over again. One wonders how the most sorrowful, terrible, and painful things in life can be borne and overcome. Yet God makes it possible when he makes those moments turning points in our lives--the
new melodies that will carry us forward.
So it is for all of us, and everyone, at every stage of our lives. God is always there to end the disharmony by making each and every false note the start of something even more grand and wonderful. That's why the devil can never
win. No matter what awful noise he makes, God will find a way to end it by replacing it with something exceedingly wonderful, just as the sin of Adam led to the birth of Christ; and the passion and suffering of our Lord led to the Resurrection. God never fails--it's not in his nature.
I pray that God blesses you and yours, and brings you peace and harmony all the days of your life. Listen carefully, and you will hear the angel choirs singing the Lord's great new songs.
Blessings and love,
29Guy

Hi ONTHEMEND and Tryingtohope,
I am glad that this post gave some encouragement and made some people's day a bit better. It was such a beautiful notion I wanted everyone to be able to read it. It really picked me up when I read it, and every time I read it.
Prayers for you both!
God bless,
29Guy
