Dear Lord, please fill us with your spirit and love. Let your love flow through us to give us peace and comfort. Father, let our WS's see you through us, and let it be like a beacon in the dark and foggy storm in their lives. Let our WS's look at us, and see only the pure and gracious love of Jesus Christ, and cause them to obey Your word to be faithful, repent, and reconcile with You, and with us. Father, bless and heal our marriages, and keep our WS's safe while they are away from us.
------------------
Faith1
"Then Jesus answered, 'Woman, you have great faith! Hi, T!
Well, I'm having a great day because God is with me, but I miss my hubby....
"up" just means I was bumping the thread back to the top of the page where new people can find it, to show I was reading and praying this prayer again, and hoping it would help others to read and pray it again. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Not that I'm the world's greatest prayer writer or anything... but it's a simple, short prayer that I use a lot through out the day. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
I read your reply on Lupo's message. I know what you mean about coming here for support and CARING. I don't know where I would be if I hadn't found this place.
May God Bless you and your H.
------------------
Faith1
"Then Jesus answered, 'Woman, you have great faith! I was at another site prior to this one. My, oh my!!! That was most certainly NOT a christian site....in fact, it seemed to be more of a INFIDEL BASHING site!! I doubt any good thing comes from that place. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
BUT, someone on there posted a link to THIS, and this is how I ended up here! I'm so thankful. There is so much love and care here for all our hurting brothers and sisters. I, too, spend WAAAAY too much time here everyday. I look at it like my "balm" - my guide - my TV time better spent(!)
Faith, thanks for the prayer. I prayed it a few times, too. It's beautiful. I'm doing better today, guys, as you can tell.....thank ALL of you for your faithful prayers for me and H.
Lupo
I think that the prayer is beautiful also, but I am new here and I don't know what WS's are. I assume it has something to do with our spouses, but exactly what? I figures out that an H alone means Husband and OW means other woman, right? Sorry to be so ignorant, But I am in extreme need of comfort right now too. I am so glad to find a place where I can be supported by other Christians who believe that God hates divorce! It is so rampant in our culture that most of the places I go no one even blinks an eye about Christians getting divorced. I am astounded! I lived through my parents divorce and it was the single most devastating and security robbing thing in my whole life. I do not want to leave that legacy to my children. But it takes two and I have been crying and praying for 6 mos. now. It seems more like 6 years.... And it seems that God is not listening and does not care... I know in my head that He does - but my heart is crying in despair. I also know that God has given us free will and if my husband is totally against it, that God is not free to work in him. I think that HE can always work on him - through outside circumstances, but my husband's heart seems so hard against me. He totally blames me for his sending love letters via email to his coworker - Like I held a gun to his head or something, and I know that he is really confused and trying anything to rationalize his behavior because it does not line up with the man I know him to be. Please pray for me and see my post - Help! I need prayer - or something like that for more info...
Praying for you Lupo - it has been an extremely down week for me too. I just cry and cry and pray and cry. I know how you feel - at least I think I do....
In Him

Hi Painful Place,
It is really hard to stand. I have just probably lost a friend over it or come close. People think you're out of touch and need to get on with your life. They don't realize they are only living a small portion of life if they don't listen to and love the Lord. I guess I am not meant to be an evangelizer because most people think I am just out of it for my faith but I guess that happened to Peter from Day 1 after the Pentecost so I am in good company [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Anyway, the point is that the Lord more than makes up for all of the pain. You know He hasn't forgotten you. Things take time. I'm sure your problems are more than 6 months old and so the solution is going to take longer than 6 months. I guess all we can do is work on our inner selves and prayer life and try to imitate Christ in all we do. Then when we fall - as we are going to again and again - we'll just let Him pick us up and brush us off, kiss us or hold us and when we are ready, off we go again.
If you haven't gotten there yet, do your best to LET GO of the situation. Try not to rule or rush the situation. Don't even consider the situation but keep your eyes peeled on the Lord.
We are supposed to be like Peter, getting out of the boat to walk on water. We are supposed to learn from him and NOT LOOK at the water (ie the situation) but keep our eyes fixed on Jesus. Then we are going to do miracles.
Jesus, help Painfulplace and all of us, esp. Faith1 who posted this prayer. Help us to look at YOU and only You and forget the difficulties of our situation. Lord, it looked like a couple loaves of bread and five fish were a miserable lunch for thousands and look what You did. Lord, You are the Creator of this universe which is so big that scientists can't measure it and we can't even see the current light but we see light that is millions of years old out in Your universe. Lord, we can't even make a bug and You have made this complex planet and all 5 billion of us who are living here today. Jesus, our situations are not hard at all for You to manage, but You have a plan for each of us and You want us to be Your special servants during this trial. We're up for it if You guide us and lead us to desire Your will. We are weak - please strengthen our faith until it is a rock like You asked.
Bless You and praise You, Lord, for all the wonders You have worked. Help us to put You in the front of all we say and do. Help us to prepare everyone around us for You to come back again, if that is Your will. Amen.

Thank you so much for that beautiful prayer, Faith1. I had a crushing blow this morning. I was at work and called home, my 3 yr old daugher answered, I said hi, and she said, mommy, it's OM (she said his name). Needless to say, that was very upsetting. Please pray that God would put a hedge of protection around my precious daughter, that He would keep this man out of her life, heck out of our family's life for that matter. Things seem to happen in waves with this, the one year anniversary of D-Day was last week, I found out she was at lunch with him yesterday, and now my own daughter thinks I am him on the phone. Lord, ease my pain, heal my marriage, bring us to where you want us to be, in Jesus name, Amen.

Joe, I think many of our mates didnt believe in divorce until it became a convienent way out. It just shows how far our society has gone and that the sheppards are not leading Gods flocks as they should. I was brought up to not believe in divorce. My mom was a strong christian and after 28 years of marriage to my dad she divorces him. I was 26 and it affected me far more than most would believe. It destroyed our family. She remarried right after her divorce. Now my entire family is againts my stand including my mother. She lost her faith along the way and has sold out too the ways of the world. It seems im the only one left in my huge family that hasent and im being severly persecuted by those whom even taught me divorce was wrong. The enemy is relentless. Ive been seperatd for 3 years and my wife and i are getting back together. She told me 6 months ago that she was glad that we did not divorce. 2 to 3 years ago she wanted a divorce more than life itself. So many are under the delusion that divorce is a easy way out. From what ive seen, it is the harder way and it hurts so many lives annd destroys many christians relationships with the Lord. When i was faced with divorce and seperation, i was devestated beyond my worst nightmares. It brought me closer to the Lord, cause i was so close to death.
What ive learned is God hates divorce and for good reasons. It kills, lives, hearts and souls. The Lord has also made it clear to me that He is still in the business of restoring marriages, no matter how bad they are. He is still God. He never changed. Our society thinks God has changed right along with it. Thats being taught in most churchs now. It didnt work in all the other societys that ended up here and history has just repeated itself. I dont know how much more grace God can shed upon america anymore. She has forgotten the Lord. Us standers is all Gods got left to set an example of His love and mercy. I pray we continue to follow the Lord and not the world.
James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Mark
Faith, thanks for bumping this! Sorry I missed replying to you Porkandbeans..yes, that poem you wrote gave me such insight into the pain I had put H through.
Praise God that He rescues WSs and marriages. I rejoice in the way He is healing deep deep hurts that now I understand led me into wrong choices...not that I am not to blame for my waywardness but H and I recognized some poor health emotionally on both our parts after d-day.
Thank You, Jesus, for BSs who forgive and believe in their WSs despite all the pain and hurt.
BSs, you are heroes. WSs, if forgiveness happens, you are most blest.
