Dear friends -
It has been a long and up hill battle. Two years ago I discovered my wife began an affair while pregnant with our son. I have been working to forgive and rebuild. At times she has participated in the effort to restore/rebuild our marriage, other time not.
She has been going to individual therapy for almost a year and been fed a steady stream of "individual freedom" thoughts that has resulted in her announcing to me one month to the day after her father passed away that life is too short to be this miserable and that she needs out so she can flourish and rebuild her self.
I agree that no one should be miserable in life, especially when you don't have to be. I have asked her to give us one last chance, but her heart is obviouly not in it.
Please pray that God will hold our family in his hands; that He will fill our hearts with His love and our minds with His wisdom so that we may follow his path for our lives and marriage.
Please pray that God protect our beautiful son and guide us to raise him in the light of the Lord.
Thank you so much,
Tom

Dear Tom, most counseling is dangerous, and that includes so called christian counseling. The ways of the world have mixed with the church so much now, most cant tell the difference. Unfortunantly God doesnt promise a happy life here, contrary to popular belief. He does promise us Joy in Him if we allow Him to be our Lord and saviour. Most now only claim Jesus as their saviour and forget about the Lord part. The bible says in the last days people will believe in doctrins of demons. I have no doubt we are in the last days. Many acually now believe its Gods will to divorce if they are not happy. They also believe the lie that they will find happiness in divorce and another relationship. Once they buy that lie, the devil laughs and pulls the carpet out from underneath them. My W bought the same lies. She will now tell you that the devil deceived her and she only found great and untold misery. She to said she wanted happiness and left me to shoot dope. All the while telling me she was at peace with her descion, it was Gods will and she had a wonderful new man.(an ex con junkie that got her hooked on shooting dope and gave her hep c) Happiness is temporal, Joy is eternal. Noone will find joy apart from the Lord and His will although they will tell you otherwise, until it catches up with them. You can take Gods grace for granted just so long. Then God has no choice but to judge your behaviour and open your eyes. It can be very painful at times as ive experienced and my W payed a higher price then she ever imagined. She has Hep C and cirrosis of the liver and overdosed to the point where its a miracle she is not dead at 32. Thats what it took to turn her heart back to the lord and i was there for her after almost 3 years to accept her back and forgive her. I just prayed and waited on God the whole time. He has been faithful. It took longer than i thought and i gave up a few times along the way, but God always encouraged me when i gave up and increased my faith. It isnt over yet. Im dealing with an angry enemy, but my W wants our family and marriage restored and we are very close again. She is still in a drug treatment half way home, but for now its what God wants.
Your W is under a delusion and the enemy has got a hold of her mind. Keep praying for her. God will reach her. Trust in Him to do so. Dont try to reach her, cause you cant. Just be there for her when the walls crash down. God never leaves us or forsakes us and that includes when we run from Him and His will for our lives. For example look at the story of Jonah.
Dear Lord, i lift Toms W up to you that you would reach her and come againts the lies of the enemy upon her mind and heart. Show her the truth in you Jesus. I also pray that you give Tom the strenth to make it thru this war on his marriage and W's mind. May your name be glorified. In Jesus name, Amen
Mark
