Hi All,
I have subscribed to the service offered from rejoiceministries.org and got the email below. I thought it might lift someone up. I know it did for me.
BTW: I know i forgot to do the prayer list last week, but i will do it again this week. Apologies for not being organised!!!
My prayers are with you all.
Plec.
ARE YOU OPEN FOR BUSINESS?
Thursday evening we stayed at a beautiful new motel in Berea, Kentucky, just south of Lexington. Friday morning when I went walking, I found a second motel under construction right next door. The only other building on that side of the Interstate was an abandoned restaurant.
Although there was a "For Sale" sign in one of the restaurant's broken windows, no one would ever expect that dilapidated structure to be worth much-until two new inns became next door neighbors. I cannot imagine how much more valuable that property became almost overnight
On one of my laps around the parking lot of our building, I paused and watched the construction workers starting their day's labor on the second building. The Lord spoke to my heart, "That is what standers are doing this morning also; building something new."
You may not have to listen much this weekend to hear about your prodigal's condition. The people who are suggesting that you level what remains of a marriage are not aware of the construction taking place right next door, as you build a new relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. He will change first the private you, and then the public you, and then in response to your prayers, God will change your spouse. That is when prodigals DO come home!
As you build unconditional love, you will be able to forgive your prodigal. The broken windows of trust will be spotless again. The parking lot will be paved with prayer. Charlyne and I pray that soon your "Open For Business" sign will be hung out for both God and man to see.
"Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." I Cor. 15:58
God bless,
Bob Steinkamp
Rejoice Marriage Ministries
PO Box 10548
Pompano Beach, FL 33061 http://rejoiceministries.org
PS - A sign company was erecting one of those mega-signs that tower far above the Interstate at that new inn on Friday. Soon everyone who passes that way will know what is at that exit. May you start to erect your "Returned Prodigal Inn" sikgn this weekend. Someone you know needs to know that God heals hurting families. Allow God to use you to tell what is under construction at the intersection of Marriage Problem Parkway and Standing Strong Street!
Plec,
Yes, thank you for posting that uplifting message. I'm feeling a little "down" today. I was doing better, and Thursday, really felt "uplifted" - as though God had (finally) taken my burden. I mean REALLY taken it, as though it had LITERALLY been lifted off my shoulders! I felt pretty good for a few days, but today, I'm starting to slip down again. Your posting made me cry. I miss my H soooo much! Not even a phone call (unless I initiate it, and God has basically told me NOT TO DO THAT).
I, too, recieve things from rejoiceministries.org, only mine come traditional "snail mail" and a different message than what you recieved! I'll copy a portion of it here:
"When separation or divorce strike, the two people most involved go one of two ways. Each either turns closer to God, or farther away from Him. Most often, one spouse turns each way. Marriage restoration takes place when the person who has turned to God takes a stand for his/her marriage and family. God will not withhold His best from a faithful child. His Word teaches us that God hates divorce, and that His Best is one man, married to one woman for a lifetime."
Please, please, all, let's pray again this Wednesday.
Lupo
