I have 2 prayer requests, please. I know, I know, I'm being selfish!
For the last month or so I have been talking regularly w/WH. I now call him about once a week on his cell phone, after he gave me his cell # and his/her work schedules (so that I don't call while SHE's there!) and we have wonderful, happy calls/time. Thursday, though, I tried to call him and got his VM. UNfortunately, his vm message was OW's voice! YUCK!! Well, I left a message, that I was calling to check on his brother's time for surgery, which was scheduled for the next day. WH had asked me to pray for him.
Well, I was feeling pretty "rejected" (again) and alone. After all, WH HAD told me I could call him "anytime" - he answered the phone 24/7 (his words). So, why didn't he answer? I was feeling down. Turns out he was in the shower.
Friday, after surgery time, tried to call again, got the vm message again (DOUBLE YUCK!)....so I figured that was it. H did NOT want me calling him, didn't want to take any calls from me any more. NO idea why, just didn't. Period. It's over.
I prayed a lot about that. I TOLD the Lord I would NOT call him again, I felt it was obvious I wasn't supposed to do that. I TOLD the Lord that H would have to call ME after that!
Waaal....H called me tonight! He told me he got my message and called to tell me how brother was doing...yadda, yadda. We talked a little bit more(he was in a hurry, he had to go back to work).
Here come the prayer requests: THEN he tells me that OW is taking him away next week-end for his birthday. He didn't tell me to be mean to me (I'm sure he didn't!), he just told me so that I will know why I can't get a hold of him by phone on Sunday (his birthday).
I told him it was hurtful to hear that. He apologized for it....I then said but I appreciated that he kept me in the loop, and was concerned that I know where he is. That made him feel better. Ooo-keyDokey.
So I think it would be "fair" to pray that they don't have a good time next week-end!!
God is working...it's obvious! We have a rare day off in the middle of the week next week (school schedules), so somebody (I have NO idea who!) arranged for a charter bus to take a group shopping at extra large mall that is 150 MILES AWAY from where we live!!!!! RIGHT NEXT DOOR to where WH works!!!!!!!!!!
It's 3 days before his birthday, sooooo, HOW COULD I NOT "pop" in and see him???? On that date, it will be exactly 5 months since he left.
So here is my second prayer request - that God has prepared H's heart to "recieve" me and see me, and me not to LB. I am nervous. I mean, I haven't laid eyes on my H, or he on me in 5 months. However, I BELIEVE God is going before me and preparing the way. I believe it, but a little extra prayer never hurts, right?
Sorry this post is so long, but please help me pray for God's Hand to be obvious and "touch" us during our little visit (might be only a few, short minutes at most). Also pray for God's "touch" on my H while he and OW are on their little week-end soire (sp?).
TIA and God Bless,
Lupo

I believe God IS working a miracle. Here's my praise report:
Saw WH yesterday....I explained it was a rare in-service day where we actually DIDN"T have to attend meetings...and some of the bus driver ladies had set up a charter bus going to his city so....how could I NOT come to see him? I gave him a birthday gift, it wasn't wrapped (bottle of cologne) and he immediately opened it and put some on!
I said, "One of the guys at work had some, and it was so delicious, I had to get it for you! You'll have the ladies in the store following you around..." I was laughing.
HE said, "Yeah, that's what I need, MORE people following me around."
I said, "I hope you don't think *I* am following you around? We really DID charter a bus....." He didn't elaborate about WHO is "following him around" but I have my suspicions.
I then said I had something else of his to give him, but didn't know if he wanted it....his bible.
He said, "Sure! I'll take it!"
Folks, this is the first indication that he is open to anything of the Lord since this "thing" started!
So, to sum up, Cali, I BELIEVE, and have been praying that God will "change the heart of the king" in an instant.
While it's not happening in an instant, I KNOW it's happening! Do you know the book, "Power of a Praying Wife" by Stormie Omartin? I have been reading and praying over him from that book for about 3 months now...I KNOW it is having an effect on his life, thoughts, and heart.
We went out to dinner later that same day (part of my objective while I was in his city, and God allowed it), and before we started eating, he hesitated and then asked me to say a blessing!
You don't know what a blessing that was! We haven't prayed together, over dinner or anything else for a very, VERY long time! I was deeply thankful. I KNOW God is working!
Praise our dear Lord! ALL THINGS work together for the good to those who Love God....
Praise you, Lord! YOU ARE SO GOOD TO US!! YOU ARE SOOOO AWESOME.
Lupo
[ October 19, 2001: Message edited by: lupolady ]

Wow, lupolady,
That was not a coincidence and the timing was definitely arranged for you. It sounds like your H was receptive to your visit AND your birthday gift.
I'm in agreement with you that their weekend rendez-vous will be the weekend from hell, so to speak, that he will be missing you and thinking of you and "tormented" with thoughts of you. Amazing how he got to see you right before their weekend getaway! Mmmmmm?! God is up to something it sounds like!
As far as the answering machine, eh, I would place more emphasis on the fact that HE said for you to call him anytime rather than whose voice is on the box. Just pull your ear away when/if it picks up. He's YOUR husband, afterall... She doesn't "have" him.
It might "look" like she has him, but that's what the enemy does, he uses circumstances to distract us from God's perspective.
I believe that your husband has a will, true, but when your will is submitted to God, then your Hs will must fall under that godly authority. Did that make sense? Sort of how we exercise our authority over satan regarding our wayward children. The devil will NOT have our kids! You know, we get militant. Same thing with your God-given mate. You are one flesh. Let no man/or other woMAN put asunder...
I believe God has listened to your concerns and He is working on your behalf. We have to see beyond this physical realm... through the eyes of our faith... I'm feelin' ya, lupo!

I definitely DID "knock H's socks off" when he saw me!! I have lost about 25 pounds. Now, I wasn't really overly heavy before this, just slightly overweight, sooooo, I am looking goooood NOW!!

He kept saying over and over (AND looking me over (and over)) "Wow you sure did lose weight, you look great!"
'Course then the DIM-WIT asks me how I lost it!! I laughed and said, "Wellll...." He said, "Oh, yeah, I know, stress" I wanted to say, D-U-H!!! Don't worry, I didn't! (LB)
As you can see from my previous post this morning, he was also open and "receiving" - so thanks sooooo much everyone, for all your prayers! GOD IS MOVING!!
BTDT: I wanted to comment on something you said, too:
"I believe that your husband has a will, true, but when your will is submitted to God, then your Hs will must fall under that godly authority. "
This makes a lot of sense, actually, cause I believe that when we are in God's will, we are Under His "Protection Umbrella" and when we are not in God's Will, there is NO WAY for us to be protected. Therefore, by ME being in God's Will, I have God's protection (not to say I can do ANY stupid thing I want!) but since H is NOT submitting his will to God's, there is NO protection....MY protection is the only thing holding him from total calamity right now. Therefore, the one-flesh thingy is holding him from too much disaster, BUT unless he submits his will eventually to God's, disaster will come. I know that. I makes perfect sense to me, BTDT. Thanks for bringing that up! I always pray for H to come to God's Will, and hear God's voice. That's been my main prayer for him since "the beginning." I know he's far from God, and that's a lot of what's going on here. But, as I said, I can see God working! I really can!
OUR GOD IS AWESOME!!!
Lupo

I just want you to know that I'm in agreement with you for your marriage to recover from all this. Just this weekend, the sermon at my church was about faith and how Jesus asked SEVERAL people if they BELIEVED that He could heal them, do the miracle, fulfill their request, whatever? And when they affirmed, His response was, "According to your faith, be it unto you."
I really admire your faith and patience through this long 5-month period. Gosh. It cannot be easy for you, but greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world, ey?
So, keep on walking in forgiveness toward any and everyone (esp. OW) who the enemy sends in your path to tempt you because "faith worketh by love."
And, even tho your faith is not on the spot, per se, GOD is on the spot, still--we need to be walking in love and forgiveness so God's power can flow through us and to our situation. VERY POWERFUL STUFF, GOD'S LOVE IS!!!
Tie a knot at the end of your rope and hang in there woman, we support you!

Dear Lupo, you are always in my prayers. This is a very long hard road for those of us whom choose to take the narrow road, but our rewards will be great not only in heaven, but also here if we do not faint and give up. A week doesnt go by that i dont have a great drive and desire to give up and run. I just have to get alone with the Lord and let all my pain and fears go. Its a constant daily battle, and although it seems sometimes we do not have the strenth to make it the rest of thhe way, the Lord does, and somehow brings us there.
The Lord has brought us this far, He will bring us the rest of the way. The enemy seems to know it very well. The Lord is my shepard.
Be patient with your WH. He wants to come back, but the guilt he feels is overwealming and they think its better to call it quits then to face it and move on. My W is finally getting past that slowly, but at least has been honest about it to me. She has told me, its what kept her from coming back. She somehow wants the slate erased, but forgets that God has already done that. They also need to know our forgiveness is real. They have a hard time with that.
God Bless you
Mark

I'm sure you are right! This is the "missing piece" of the puzzle. I feel also that he wants to come home, but couldn't put my finger on WHY he didn't just say it....now I understand. God IS working, though. Just gotta let Him speak to H. At church this past Sunday, sermon was about Elijah, and the "still, small voice" - NOT the wind, NOT the earthquake - NOT the mountains and rocks crashing all around. Makes sense to me!
I have been wondering how you are. I have also been praying for you and your W, and your little boy. I'm glad you are moving forward. Is all positive. Praise our God for His love for us!
BTDT: I thank you also, for your encouraging words. I don't feel like a very faithful person! This is ALL God, believe me! And I have "stepped out" in faith many times, and told others that God is going to perform a miracle in our lives, so God is definitely "on the spot." But of course, I believe His Word, believe He has shown me His Will for us, and that He is able to do that which we have committed unto that day...
God Bless,
Lupo

Hey, Lupo..just back for a visit tonight. I have been trying to spend less time on MB but some of my old posts are being answered so sometimes I lurk.
So glad I found your awesome news! I will keep praying for you, too!
Lostpup, if you are reading, you are still in my prayers also. Sounds like the battle continues but so glad you are seeking God and finding Him. I believe He will reward the forgiveness you and Lupo and others extend to your WS.
Lord, hear our prayer.

Hi Lupo -
You always have the greatest stories!
I think you're right - the Lord set that appointment up and your husband can't have fun with her when he's thinking of you.
I have been keeping you in my prayers although I couldn't use the forum lately.
I am praying not to let go of my husband. I don't know what to do with my life at this point. I need to find a new job and I'd like to move to the city but I don't want to run into him with someone else. It would kill me. All the good jobs are in the city though and I am worried about my future. I know God takes care of us but I'm sure God doesn't want us to be lazy and just expect it of him.
I will keep praying for you!!
Love, T

I KNOW God is doing an awesome thing in my WH!! I just can tell!!! I'm so happy! God is just beyond our wildest imagination.....here I thought I just wanted WH HOME. Nope!! Apparently, God is going to fix a LOT of other "stuff" we had been dealing with, too! Like lack of spiritual time together....I can see God healing that, and building it in WH.
Thanks, Frank! You know you are my BUD!! I Love having you in my corner! I will be praying for a clear opening....also that if God moves you to city where WH is - with AP - God will most definitely NOT let you run into them!!!!
