You would thing after all the pain the betrayer puts you through, he would at least try to be civil towards you. My ex-H avoids me when he can and when he can't he is very cold and attacks me on every issue with the kids. I feel that he tries to get the upper hand in every situation. After you have lived with someone for 8 years, how can you feel no remorse or emotion at all for your spouse. I feel so unloved and unimportant to him. It's like I don't exist for him anymore. Why do they have to be cruel on top of everything else? Is there any hope that someday he will realize how much he hurt me? Everyone tells me he will regret this someday, but I can't see him ever looking back. Is it normal for me to feel this way?
AD

I was so upset I didn't ask my original question. If his affair ends, is there a chance he will again see our marriage as it was (he has completely changed the history) or will his justifications stay in his mind for the rest of his life?
AD

I don't know if it is normal to feel that way, but I could have written your post, except that my H and I have been together for 25 years. My H actually had his lawyer write me a letter about the kids rather than say a word about it himself! Even his lawyer says he shouldn't be handling things this way - that he needs to be willing to discuss child-related issues with me.

My w acts the same way. She has more b@@@s than I do now. She won't discuss right or wrong only whats legal. Now all her "jailhouse lawyer" friends are chiming in about how she isn't getting enough. This after she under reported her income for figuring child support and starting out with everything on her side of the ledger.
All this by someone who wnated an amicable divorce and to be friends afterwards.
I just don't understand how anybody can all of a sudden be so cruel and not even blink about.
I can't answer you about after the affair, as my w's was over and back on before I could even turn around.
