I have been divorced for 1.5 years. Without going into the whole ugly mess, I filed a petition last fall against my XH for change in visitation. We now have a 50/50 visitation agreement (it is only on paper; I acutally have son about 65-70 percent of time). I am fighting for XH visitation to be changed to one day a week and every other weekend. This will be a battle not because he wants to be with son; a battle because he will not want to pay the correct amount of child support.
My prayer request is this: If God feels that the visitation agreement that we have now is in the best interest for my son then let things remain the same and I will know that I did the best I could do for my son. If God feels that the original visitation agreement is not what is best for my son then please let it change. I know that my XH will try to manipulate the situation to best suit him. He doesn't care about son. He only cares about money. Please pray that I will be strong and will accept the outcome as what God wants for me and my son. I need his strength today more than I have ever needed it before.
God, please be with me today. Today will be the second time that I have had to stand up and fight against XH. This battle will be the hardest one yet. All I want is what is fair. Please be with me and help me to be strong. I love my son with all of my heart and I want him to stop hurting.
luv2bfree

Luv2befree,
How did the mediation go? I just read your prayer request and hope that this worked out well for you. I will pray for your family and that God's loving embrace will comfort you. Ladysing
