Like so many on this board, I have been standing for my marriage. In posting this update, I hope to offer encouragement to those that have chosen to stand regardless of outward circumstances. Unlike many here, I was the WS. Thank God, in his mercy, he convicted me of my sinful ways. He called me to repent and seek his plan to restore my marriage.
The affair and the problems that lead up to that event has left my wife in a place of not wanting to restore our marriage. She filed for divorce in early January 2002. In just the last week, we have discussed a plan to try and heal our marriage. She has asked that I move out of the house and give her time to heal from what has happened. This may not sound like such a great offer, but I know that God had to have touched her heart or she could have never offered this chance.
Please pray for me as I prepare to leave our home and give her the time she is asking for.

Richard, It seems that God has touched both you and your W. You both will be in my prayers at this difficult time you are entering. It won't be easy for you knowing you are leaving your marital home, trust in God....his peace and love with guide you through this time. May his love also soften your W's heart and allow her to see the wonderful man you are. May he touch her heart and allow her to forgive so together you can restore your M. Thankyou for your post, it shows us all that in Gods name, anything is possible. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Steph
