Hi, everyone. I'm here to ask prayers for a lady I met on MB awhile back. I don't remember her online name and it doesn't matter as God knows the whole situation.
She is a BS who is hurting deeply a long time after her H's A. She wrote to tell me today was her anniversary and something went very wrong.
Please pray for her comfort and their healing.
Thanks.

Knight, thank you. I know I can always count on you. The news is very sad. She is planning to divorce her H. She is a Christian and feels she is hurting her family. My heart goes out to her.
Please anyone who reads this thread just stop and take a moment to pray that God will heal the wounded heart she is suffering with at this time.
I have promised not to judge her but to support her through friendship and prayer.
Thanks, again.

Knight, thanks for asking about the "chips"--my heart is aching with grief for my friend and yet you made me smile.
To other prayer warriors reading (and don't underestimate yourselves--you are warriors!)I emailed a little reading to Knight about a woman who was having a terrible time trying to prepare a meal. She tried to open a bag of potato chips which basically exploded everywhere. Her H walked by and seeing her distress, jumped on the chips and got her laughing and dancing with him.
Actually, Knight, maybe your question is prophetic! I am finding with this new gift of dance that God gave me that He will reveal things as I worship.
I am so worried about my friend as she plans to abandon her children as well as her H. I know Satan must have a chokehold on her. Let's pray she receives the breakthrough to forgive the past and find her joy restored. I hate to see her h's ministry shot down when it is relatively new and so needed.
Thanks for your encouragement, Knight.

Hey, FS,
Count me in, too with the prayers.
You know, RejoiceMinistries teaches that it is AFTER the WS comes home that the real battle begins. I believe it! I am seeing it with friends of mine, too.
In fact, if I didn't know better (and I don't!) I might actually think you were talking about a situation with my friends. The WS used to post here (briefly), don't think the BS ever did.
Well, I got to emailing FWS back and forth....trying to get them to "stay the course" even tho BS was very upset and refused to stop div proceedings, tho FWS had moved home & no contact w/op. FWS even went so far as to move back out of marital home so BS could recover, have 'space.' They agreed to go to couseling, but BS couldn't. Still too hurt with FWS.
FWS got tired of the constant rejection....I was praying so much for them....FWS kept saying, "I can't take the rejection much more....I'm going to find someone else to love me...."
I kept saying, "Hang on just a little while longer. Your BS needs to heal.....It WILL happen, just show S love & give S the space S/he needs."
Long story short, FWS "found someone else....& wrote me thinking I'd be happy for them!!" Not........I'm so sad. I wrote and said, YOU ARE IN ANOTHER EXTRAMARITAL AFFAIR. STOP IT NOW before you destroy all chances for your M.
3 days later, BS called FWS to say, "Let's talk about getting our M back on track."
I have not heard from FWS again.
Satan works sooooooo hard when he knows he is defeated, and starts seeing the couple working toward God's plan. Rev. 12:12 [ July 03, 2002, 08:45 AM: Message edited by: lupolady ]

Lupo & Knight, you two rock. Thanks!
The BS (who is the lady who is now leaving) posted here but I don't think her H ever did.
I fear she has snapped. She seems to think she can leave without destroying her H's ministry and that her young kids will "understand" and not feel the impact. My heart just yearns.
I know this is not very spiritual of me but we just came back from watching "A Beautiful Mind" (at the cheap theatre ) I really admired Nash's wife in the story. She felt like leaving when the "chips" were down but she reminded herself of the man she married and she committed to helping her schizophrenic husband learn what was real.
My friend's H had the A several years ago but she just can't let go. I don't know what the secret is and I often question myself--could I forgive my H as easily as he forgave me?
There are no answers but let's not give up praying.
Lupo, I am praying for you, too.

I think God does His best work(dance) when our "chips" are down. I had a young man working with me today, his first time. And he was talkng to me about a youth camp I and my w were at. He was telling me how it had impacted his life, it was 9.5 years ago! What had happened tho was my w messed up her back bad, couldn't walk, would actually go numb from the waist down.
Anyways, I'm a new Christian, new H, my w is preg and we are going thru this for 7 months. You know why did not God answer the prayer for her healing right away? But I will tell you that 7 months God was aligning lives to be impacted, for at that camp my w was healed, she stood up and RAN from her wheelchair. I still have not experiened such a powerful move of God.
But God had 175 youth at that camp who saw me carry my w on my back not only at that camp but for those 7 months and there is no denying the power of Jesus Christ when He moves like that.
I say all this to give you, and everyone hope that just because God doesn't answer your prayer the first time, does not mean that He has not heard you, or is ignoring you. He is aligning lives, so that HE can work all things to the good, to those who believe and are called according to HIS purpose. Don't give up hope my friends, FOR GOD IS IN CONTROL!
I love you all so much, I hope I give you as much hope as you all have given me.

I have recently found myself whining to God about WHY He has not yet brought my H home!! I do believe He is going to do it. I know He has "changed me" - I'm growing more and more each day, and He can change my H as well, as soon as He brings him home, and he can get into counseling/church. Sometimes I fear I'm "growing apart" from him, since I'm growing in the Lord and he isn't. I fear we will be further apart rather than getting closer.
So, here I am, whining "WHEN, God, WHEN??? WHAT'S TAKING SO LONG??? Eventually, it came to me (in the Words I heard in my heart "In the Fullness of Time") that God was doing exactly what you wrote! I just didn't have the words to put to it. He is "aligning lives" and people for His BEST purpose!
Thanks for being my answer to prayer today, Knight!
FS, I am praying for your friend. I will continue to lift that family up in prayer.
Father, OPEN this woman's eyes, and let her SEE the destruction awaiting her family if she continues on this path, away from YOU, where there is no good thing. Lord Jesus, give her YOUR capacity to forgive her H, and that they will both look to YOU for their healing. Amen.

I repeat: You two rock!!
God bless you for the encouragement you bring to all here.
Knight, THANK YOU for the testimony about your w's healing.
Maybe my friend needs some time out--ministry life doesn't really let you stop to breathe/recover---not that any kind of vocation makes it easy when a marriage is impacted by an A. I pray the Lord will heal her mind.
I agree in prayer with you, Lupo that your H will come. If Knight's w could come home, so can your h.
Hang in there.
Happy July 4 to you!

Just a quick update. The lady has decided to stay at home for now after talking with her H. But she is not at peace nor is she happy about it.
It appears that her faith is recovering. I hope that is true and not just appearance.
Thanks for your prayers. Perhaps this struggle will be the catalyst that helps her to find the freedom to forgive and start really living and enjoying the present again.
Lupo, thanks for the advice regarding Shorty in my other post (Consequences and Regrets--In Recovery).
Thanks for your prayers for my friend. I stand in prayer for others on this board, too.
