To all my praying friends,

First I want to tell you things are well in M, w called OM Tues and told him she wouldn't be back, which 2 hrs earlier she was ready to leave for him. So she feels that she has broken all ties.

Now for my son, he had been wetting the bed and had gotten really skinny so we took him to the clinic. After some blood work they told us that he was diabetic and that he needed to get to the U right away. Physically, he shouldn't have even been able to walk around since his levels were off the charts. He is handling things very well, we are so proud of him. W and him had to go back to the U this morning for another day of tests and training in giving the insulin injections.

Now where you all come in; please pray for his healing, also that this would strengthen w's ties to the family rather than to make her run. Pray also that if this cup is for my son to bear that he would have the strength to endure it.

Thanks and blessings to all,
knight

Hi Knight, sorry to hear of all the stuff, but you know that the enemy is attacking you because you are doing what the Lord wants you to do!
I will definately pray for you, may the Lord direct your paths, and may He heal your son.
He can, because of who He is! I also pray in agreement with you that your wife will truly be drawn to the Lord even more, through this situation. The old saying, the Lord works in mysterious ways, is true... Be strong in the Lord, I know you'll get through this!
God Bless you and yours!

Things are going well. Last week, the day before the diagnosis, my W called OM and said that she would never be back, and our relationship seems to be getting better.

As far as the diabetes, our son is handling it really well, just basically accepted that this was what he has to do now and it is life for him. He has not even complained once. My w is doing most of the injections and going to the classes learning what we need to know about diabetes. I hope to go to the class today with them.

God protects the children. My prayers are for you and your family. I've followed your story for some time and I can say that you are a blessing to your family and a pillar of strength that only God can give.

Father watch over this family in their time of need and give them strength and faith in your plan. Keep their hearts in your word, let the psalms comfort them.

Psalms 27:1 Psalms 56:3

When they are afraid, let them trust in you. Amen.

Just wanted to let you know that people you don't even know are praying for your family and you are not alone in this.

Our son was almost 5 when he was diagnosed. He's 24 now. He played sports, lived a regular kid life. In fact, people were generally surprised to learn that he was diabetic because nothing stopped him. Get involved with your local JDF or ADA if you can. It really helps to have support from those who've been there. Also, there's so much online support that wasn't around back when we were first struggling to cope with all the information and stress. Good luck and God bless.

Just wanted to give you some words of encouragement.
I have a father, two sisters 1 brother and a niece with diabetes. (This disease really has touched my family) They lead very full and often adventurous lives with only an occassional complication.

Proper monitoring of diet, blood sugar levels and lots of education about the disease are the best defense.

Best of luck and many blessings!

Thanks Guinevere, and yes this disease has really touched your family.

Our son has entered into what they call the honeymoon period where the disease seems to receed and then it comes back, sometimes in 2 weeks sometimes 2 years.

No weapon formed against you and your house shall prosper. By the stripes Jesus took for your son, he is healed. Accept only the Word of God. Leave the rest in His hands. I thank God that you have both given Him your full attention, and stand in agreement with you that your family and your marriage will live and NOT die and declare the works of the Almighty God. Be Blessed Knight! You really love her don't you? Did you thank God for His presence in your union and your wife today? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

Thanks ymon,

I am encouraged by your words, for they point me to Jesus. I thanked Him this morning and I felt the Lords presence like I used to feel His presence. He is drawing me to Himself, thank you.
