I haven't posted here on prayer requests in almost a year now.
If anyone can remember, I updated our family situation in divorcing. That should sum it all up, basically.
Please begin praying for this family. Next week will mark the one year anniversary of my filing for divorce. I will never forget the day, so many other families were destroyed far greater than mine was. Filed at 10 am on 9/11. H had son for a visit. I thought the entire world was coming to an end. I remember laying downstairs so affected by this horror, my divorce, that I could not even move for over 24 hours. Spent the next weekend alone b/c H had son at his place for visitation. I remember on my knees crying and praying until I fell asleep on the floor.
One year has almost passed. H had an A with OW for one and a half years. As an answer to my prayer, OW ironically broke up with H a few weeks back. But he is no nearer to finding a real relationship with God. I am in no way perfect, mind you, just a mother who loves her four year old son, God, and the memory of a H who once loved her so dearly. Please pray for us. Our D is winding down now. If there is any time for a miracle it is now. OW is gone from picture, yet H has not opened his heart up to the real truth, God's truth. I have done plan A and then been in B for so very long now.
Pray the Holy Spirit comfort all of us. That He descend down upon my H and pierce through his hardened heart. That before all is too late forever, there be a spiritual intervention.
Anytime over the last year 9/11 was brought up, whether on tv, news, radio, I cringe. I know those families lost a loved one forever. Yet I know what it is like to lose a loved one but not to the bombs of a cold blooded terrorist but to sin. Today on my way to work, I was astounded by the license plates saying "9/11 we will never forget". I started crying.
Please pray for this little family who has been blessed with a living WS, but still one lost to his family. He is a good man, deep down. Just lost his way and needs to find his Creator again. It's like he has gone against everything he used to believe.
The incredible gift of prayer is the kindest most valuable treasure you can give another.
May God's blessings be with you all. Have a good evening.
