This is a big step for me. I have been praying for all couples trying to put there marriages and families back together. On Thursday I had the opportunity to hold my XW and I thanked god and prayed for him to touch all of us. That was a fleeting moment for us, but one I will cherish.

I pray for the guidance and strength to be the man my XW and family need. I pray for my XW to find god's love through me. I pray for the confidence, wisdom and fortitude to do what is right by my XW. As much as I want my XW and family back I want my XW to find the happiness and peace she deserves. I pray for my XW to undestand how much I love her and how sorry I am for the pain I have caused her and she has experienced. She needs to trust my love for her and have the strength be the woman I know she can be. To be the woman she wants to be.

I've no right for this but I pray for god to bring us back together, help us build the marriage we both desire and find the happiness in our lives together.

My XW is on hear as "Wen" and I want her prayers to be answered as well. Whether I am a part of them or not.

I've been trying to read through everyone's prayer requests. I say trying is both very new and hard to me. To read some of these requests is very painful for me. Just 6 months ago I was an atheist. God has most definitely shown me another way.

I'm hurting, I'm weak and I don't want to fail Wen again. I know I will fail god again and I'll just have to trust to his forgiveness. I can not fail Wen or myself right now.

Back,

Welcome! I have been praying for Wen. I am so excited that there is a possibility that you two can reconcile. Now I can pray for you both!

Dear Lord, You can change our hearts and our circumstances. You see this XH heart, it is turned toward you. Help him grow in wisdom and grace. Touch his life and help him to be the man you want him to be. Touch his XW and through your mercy bring them together again. You are in the healing business, you know our needs, bring healing to both their hearts. I pray that you would bring some other christian people into their lives that can support them. Lord give me wisdom as I pray for them. In Jesus name, Amen.

Just remember my friend, when you fail, and we all do, Jesus paid the price for our sin, and all we have to do ask for forgiveness, and He does forgive us! Keep your heart turned toward Him.

I will keep praying for you and Wen!

I had faith, pulled myself up, trusted my heart and what my gut was telling me.

In a nutshell Wen and I are on our way. Lately everytime I question whether I'm weak for turning to faith, I do something stupid. Something bad then happens to me and then something very good happens.

I think everything I ever wanted in my life is at my fingertips right now. I just have to trust that it is there and will be if I let it. I'm on the right path. I just have to be true to it.

Thank you all so very much and thank god.

Bad night. A pretty big setback. Trying to get through the night. Ran smack dab into the FOG.

What was the setback? What happened? Would it help you to talk about it here? LW

I ran into a reference to you on LW's thread on ENs. I thought I'd stop by and see what was going on (I'm nosy like that...).

Anyway, I just wanted to say that faith is what brought me through my situation. It is not the weak that rely on faith. It is harder to give things up to God's hands than it is to try to control it yourself.

We've pulled through and we're recovering now, but I know that would not have happened had it not been for faith.

Faith:

1.) Gave me comfort when I was weeping.
2.) Gave me hope when I had lost it.
3.) Gave me friends to listen to me and help me.
4.) Gave me the power to overcome my taker and resist pushing too hard.

There are many other things, but those are just a few. I have a thread on EN (you'll have to do a search) called "For those praying for an answer". It tells of the things I learned through my experience.

God uses life's hardships to teach us something that we have to learn. He knows we are going to need that knowledge at a critical point in the future. One of the things I prayed for is that I would learn quick. I think he answered, too. I look at how long some do MB before getting to recovery, and I had a short path.

I just had to NC Wen. The details aren't important, but basically she just can't make up her mind what to do and I couldn't last any longer.

I pray god finds her.

I don't want to let her go. This isn't what I want, but I couldn't take anymore.

Dear Lord,

Please save this marriage! Please bring healing, reconciliation, and forgiveness.

I call upon you in behalf of Wen and her husband and I claim all your promises. You hate divorce and it is never your will for a marriage to end that way. Lord, please do not let this marriage end in a way that brings you sadness and that brings them sadness. Please do a new work in their lives and in this marriage!

In you, there is hope! In you, there is life! You can bring life where there is none. You can bring hope to a hopeless situation such as a pained-filled marriage and that is what I pray you do in this marriage!

Lord, remove this other man! Physically move him to another state if that's what it takes! I pray that he would become repulsive to Wen! I pray that her heart would be filled with love for only her husband and that her husband would be filled with love for her. Bring them back together Lord. Help them to forgive each other and to forgive themselves.

I pray that you would do what seems impossible. Lord, fill Wen's heart with your love and your peace. May she fully repent and turn to you and in so doing, turn to her husband and be welcomed by his unconditional love for her. I pray that is what he will show her.

Sustain them both, Lord. Give them strength and wisdom and courage to do what is right. Do not let them be utterly destroyed but lavish them with your love and grace drawing them to you.

Lord, again, I earnestly & fervently pray that you would remove this other man from Wen's life. I pray that she would look at him and feel disdain for him. I pray that she would flee from him and never turn back. And I pray that you would heal her from the hurts that cause her to turn to this man. May she see herself as you see her and may she know that there is hope in you and that her marriage can be restored!

Lord, give this husband strength to wait upon you. Give him deep love for his wife. Help him to forgive her. May he be slow to anger and quick to forgive. May he become the man you desire him to be. Lord, comfort him, and reveal to him anything about him that he needs to deal with, to change, or to repent of and then help him to do what needs to be done.

Lord, in FAITH, knowing that you can do what seems impossible, I pray this for this couple. Give them many more years of blissful marriage together. Father, please do this for them. Please heal, restore, reconcile, and renew!

Lord, I also pray that Satan would have no more influence on their lives and their marriage. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I command that Satan and his demons FLEE and have no hold on Wen or her husband! May they both FIGHT temptation and lies and Satan's trickery. May they cling to the truth of your Word and may they OBEY your commands to love each other, to honor you, to keep their marital vows. Where they have been deceived, Lord, open their eyes to your truths. Including their views of themself. May Wen be repentative and humbled, but not defeated or destroyed. May she KNOW that with you there is forgiveness and mercy. May she see who she is in you.

Lord, I pray all of this in the name of Jesus knowing that you can do immeasurably more than we can even ask for or imagine! (Eph. 3:20).
AMEN!

Wen... and Wen's husband... it is not over yet! God is in control and he wants to give you life abundantly. He can do all this and more!

Put your hope in Him. Be fervent in your prayers and be in the Word so that you will be strengthened. Seek counseling... individually or together! It is so important for you to find a good Christian counselor... whether a pastor or other counselor. You need professional advice! Be involved in a good church and allow the body of Christ to embrace you during this time so that you will not be alone! You need people to help carry you through this (Godly people)-- real people too (not just internet people! ). It will not be easy at all, but nothing in life is easy (esp. for a Believer), but it is through suffering and trials, that we grow and mature and gain character. Persevere and do not give up on yourself, each other, or your marriage! The Lord will bless your efforts and desires to do what is right.

May God bless you! HANG IN THERE!!
