Hello to all you hopeful people out there,

This is my 2nd message. My first one was to ask for all of your prayers because my husband left me about 2 weeks ago. We had not been speaking for six months and were having problems for about a year before that. Instead of me trying to find out what I could do to save the marriage, I rebelled and made things worse. In December, I finally said I wanted a divorce because he wasn't paying the attention to me that I wanted. I was so insecure. I had pushed God out of my life. I was turning 50 and thought if I can't get my husband to love me maybe I can go out there and find someone who will. He stayed in our home for six months and we hardly spoke. He asked me to buy a new vehicle with him and I said no. He really didn't make any other attempts of finding a solution. I still waited though. In June I went away to visit my family. When I got back, my husband informed me he was moving out and he did that night. That was when I realized I made a mistake. I told him I wasn't going to file for a divorce and he said that he would if I didn't. I didn't and he did. The hurt and ache that I feel. What did I do? I know I was wrong. In scrolling through the messages on this board I came across a message that had the website www.restoreministries.net. I went to that website and WOW, IT IS AWESOME. If you truly love God and want your marriage to work God's way this is a great website. My marriage has not been restored. Through the tools in marriage builders and tools in restore ministries, my marriage will be saved through God's Love, Grace and Mercy. Also, prayers from others are very important. Please keep praying for me and I will pray for you.

l/m,

Just want to let you know that you will be in my prayers.

I also found RestoreMinstries and you're right, it is AWESOME. I've orderd the book "How God Can and Will Restore Your Marriage" on Tape. It has helped me SOOOO much. I've already listened to the entire thing about 5 times and it's still playing in my car every time I'm driving.

We must be strong, keep the faith and our eyes on our Lord. We WILL win this battle!

God Bless you and be with your Marriage.

Hi l/m,
I also found Restore Ministries about 8-9 mos. ago and what a Godsend... literally. I believe God led me there and He uses that couple in many lives. I have been very thankful for that ministry. Have you bought the woman's book? It is VERY good and powerful. It's actually almost just like reading the Bible because she uses soooooo much Scripture! Also, I recommend the "Be Encouraged" tapes. Very good. Of course, they cost money, but what I did was I wrote asking about them and sharing that I had no money but felt I really needed that input. Well, a girl, whose marriage had been restored, mailed me her tapes and told me thta once my marriage is restored, then I need to pass them on! I also have a prayer partner from there and that has also been very good.

Have you visited Rejoice Ministries (www.rejoiceministries.com)? I would really encourage you to go there to and sign up for the devotional called "Charlyne Cares." It is so good and she emails it to you everyday. Some days, I have almost given up, and then I will get the devotional and God will use it to give me the strength to keep on. Also, something I love, is that her husband, Bob (who left her for another woman... they are reconciled now), shares his thoughts during the time that he was having an affair. It is very eye-opening. He says that Charlyne prayed him home and he is soooooo thankful that she stood for the marriage like she did.

Also, there is a book you can get there called "The Prodigal Perspective" and it's very good and helpful. Plus, Charlyne has tapes and she is such a sweet lady. I have one tape where she just reads Bible verses, and it's nothing fancy, but she just has a heart of gold and is so close to the Lord that it just shows.

Well, to both you and Hopeful, keep pressing on, k? You are not alone and I will add you both to my prayer list. Your story kinda sounds like mine in which I was the one to first utter "divorce" and by the time I realized how very, very wrong I was, I had embittered my husband and he filed.

Oh, also, I want to recommend this awesome book to you both. It is called "The Excellent Wife" by Martha Pearce. VERY good and she totally upholds marriage and alot of it will kinda supplement the things Erin says, but it's about being a godly wife. I highly recommend it. Both my prayer partner and I read it.

Well, hang in there and trust the Lord. So glad you found that ministry and have been convicted about your rebelliousness and have repented and decided to pray for reconciliation. Praise the Lord! I will be praying for you both.

God bless.
