My W and I have been S for 5 1/2 mos. She found an old BF 3 mos ago and is completely consumed with him. Being Catholic, I said several Novenas (a special prayer said 9x for 9 days that God will answer, in his way). Nothing happened to get my W back. The heart ache was worse than ever because the Novena brought hope but in the end she hadn't returned.

Then after much counseling from others, I realized God will not go against anothers free will. The adultery is a work of the Devil and not God. I began to pray for me instead, asking God to forgive me for not appreciating my W more when she was here. I felt much better but something still was missing inside.

Then I prayed for strength, courage and wisdom to accept God's plan and also to forgive WW and OM and myself and for the salvation of our souls. If my W cannot free herself from the Devil's snare I will pray for her. On the third day of the Novena, I felt a great relief. I don't think that the prayer was in the form of a Novena helped so much as the intention of the prayer.

I believe much of this sorrow has happened because I put my W and my own wants before God. Since I pray for WW, OM and OMW and myself to be free from evil and for forgiveness, I am now free of pain and I am full of purpose and resolve now. My life has new meaning.

Yes I still miss my W, but I now am convinced that, in God's own way, I will be happier in the future than I ever would have been if God would have forced my wife to return against her will. I was not ready to really love and forgive her and I had no compassion for her pain which deep inside she must surely feel.

I pray too that God will let her heart hear from me what her ears will not.

If this will help any one you, who is suffering the way that I was. I will thank the Lord for that. He will listen to you and heal you.

As a great woman used to say to me, let go, let live. We don't know what God has in store for us. We can only be the best that we can be and let go. May God Bless you and anyone who reads this today.

Only time will tell, she may need to learn something to gain insight into life. She may not have been thru enough in life to understand how wonderful it is to have a faithful husband.

Monty,

Thank you for the line you wrote above:

I pray too that God will let her heart hear from me what her ears will not.

I will add you and your W in my prayers.
