Footprints
One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand. One belonged to him and the other to the Lord. When the last scenes of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the walk of his life there were only one set of footprints. He then noticed that it happened at the very hardest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it, "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times of my life there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand, why, when I needed you the most you would leave me?" The Lord replied "My precious, precious child. I love you and I would never leave you. During your pain and suffering when you only saw one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

Thought I would share this with you and anyone in need! God Bless you all in your fight with the evil one!
A Standers Affirmation
I AM STANDING FOR THE HEALING OF MY MARRIAGE!... I will not give up, give in, give out or give over 'til that healing takes place. I made a vow, I said the words, I gave the pledge, I gave a ring, I took a ring, I gave myself, I trusted GOD, and said the words, and meant the words... in sickness and in health, in sorrow and in joy, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in good times and in bad...so I am standing NOW, and will not sit down, let down, slow down, calm down, fall down, look down or be down 'til the breakdown is torn down!
I refuse to put my eyes on outward circumstances, or listen to prophets of doom, or buy into what is trendy, worldy, popular, convenient, easy, quick, thrifty, or advantageous... nor will I settle for a cheap imitation of God's real thing, nor will I seek to lower God's standard, twist God's will, rewrite God's word, violate God's covenant, or accept what God hates, namely divorce!
In a world of filth, I will stay pure; surrounded by lies I will speak the truth; where hopelessness abounds, I will hope in God: where revenge is easier, I will bless instead of curse; and where the odds are stacked against me, I will trust in God's faithfulness.
I am a STANDER, and I will not acquiesce, compromise, quarrel or quit.. I have made the choice, set my face, entered the race, believed the Word, and trusted God for all the outcome.
I will allow neither the reaction of my spouse, nor the urging of my friends, nor the advice of my loved ones, nor economic hardship, nor the prompting of the devil to make me let up, slow up, blow up, or give up 'til my marriage is healed.

SG: I wanted to pray for you and your ex today too.. Lord I lift up my brother SG and his situation with his ex. Lord, I know that You are able to do all things. I have seen Your restoration in time in my life when I thought it was all hopeless. Lord You are able. There is NOTHING too hard for YOU, Lord. If You speak the word, it shall be done.
God we ask today for your perfect will. Your will God, not our own.
You see all things. You know all things, and You ask that we just be willing to do your will. Father give SG a willing heart to do whatever it is you are asking of him.
If the road leads back to his ex, we give You all the glory and all the praise and we thank You for You are a mighty God. If you the road doesn't lead back to a restored marriage, we still give you all the glory and we are thankful because you will still cause a restoration between them, in heart. Father, I ask for a perfect peace for my brother today. Let him know that "peace that passes all understanding". Help him to know that you do all things well. Encourage him today to trust you. Trust you with his future, and more importantly, his past. Let him know today that you are not only the God of today and the future, but you are God that was there, and saw all that happened in his past. You know all and You are able to bring peace to even THAT situation. We speak total peace and restoration to that part of SG and his ex's life. Thank you Father for restoration, whatever form it takes. We only want Your perfect will for our brother today and we thank you and praise you that whatever that is, it will be good. Thank you for restoration of heart. In Jesus name. *smile* Diamonzzz
LoveNCare? You asked about posting a pix on MB? You can go to a thread on emotional needs board, do a search for "let's See you" and post it there. Many Mb'ers have their pix there. (I had hubby and I's there but removed it recently)

Diamonzzz,
Thank you, that was very nice of you to do that. It is nice that you came here. This is a good place. These are the people I am going to spend a loooooooooong time with, so they better get used to me!!!! How are you doing? I knew God was watching over you. I didn't come back to your thread. I felt it best to give you some time, plus I don't belong there. I am glad you always come to find me. It's interesting, today I thought about so many things, the ex, the other girl that I prayed so many prayers over, my father. I above all else had peace, not giving in, just God's peace. Sometimes there is conflict, but when we are in God's will , He makes even our enemies be at peace with us. I am there. How is your marriage doing? I hope you get everything worked out. I want you to know I will still debate right along beside you, what ever it takes. We stood for what was right and we can do it again if neccessary. Think about becoming a part of our group. We talk one night a week and really have some good discussions. Trying has a great idea about all of us getting on and saying a prayer etc, for just a few minutes. It's posted above. It's neat to know people genuinely care about you, and in a healthy way, a Godly way. Tell me how you are REALLY doing, and soon I will post a prayer for you. Fair enough????
God Bless ZZZ singleguy

Hello Diamonzz, I want to take this time to thank you for posting that nice prayer for our brother Singleguy! He sure needs lots of them ! Just kidding he is just like the rest of us here, all looking for the grace of God to shine on us. Somedays are good and other ones well you know arn't to good. Thank you also for the directions to the let's see you thread. I went there along time ago actually forgot about it. I wanted to put a picture on one of these posts, it is an object with a story of how miracles do happen. Maybe it is an idea to put our pictures up on that thread and then everyone would know whom they are talking to. No, now no funny stuff! God is watching!
Thanks again God Bless you

You are welcome LoveNcare and SG. I come and check out this board from time to time but I really like the emotional needs board Everybody has their little "niche" I guess.
SG... H and I are doing very well. We are taking the Alpha Marriage program at the new church we just started attending (just moved about 2 months ago to a new city). H is attending Thursday night prayer meetings. They do some serious prayer and seeking God and get down to business for the men. He is also attending Anger Management Classes and IC. God has been doing so much in our lives lately. I would say that we hit rock bottom in our marriage and now we are beginning to see the healing. God had to take down the faulty foundations and replace them with HIS work.
The truth is, we ALMOST separated and ended the marriage but neither of us could do it. I really love him and I believe that God brought him to me. I have the coolest testimony but I am not really wanting to share it here on this open forum. Suffice to say, I believe God brought us together for a purpose, so I look to Him to fix us. He is faithful when we are faithless. Thank God!! We have been learning so much lately. Or I guess the better way to say it is, "relearning" stuff we already knew .... basic stuff, really, but stuff that is essential. "Cleaving and leaving" properly. Stuff like that. It has all been good.
If you guys do a "search" look under emotional needs board and the thread's name is "Let's see you" you can find H and I's pix.
Anyway, nice to pray for you SG. I have felt bad over the last exchange we had and wanted to make sure you knew I was ok with you.
The net is a place where you can misunderstand so much of what is said ......
Anyway, thanks for the invite guys, but I really have too many irons in the fire so to speak to take on anything more.
I'll check back from time to time and say hello ..
Post your pix guys so I can see y'all.
Blessings, DZZZ

Diamonzzz, That is good news about your marriage. I like to see marriages saved, not dissolved. I am glad you are allowing God to be the center of your marriage, otherwise they don't have that foundation. I think we both have had our tough times, and understand what the other has been thru. We will always care about each other from a spiritual point of view. Thanks for doing what you've done. I will respect the fact that you are busy now, and can't join us, but maybe someday!!!!!
God Bless You Diamonzzz singleguy

Diamonzzz, I got all teary-eyed when I saw the pics. Reading people's stories is good and supportive, BUT, when I see a pic and know their story, or speak to them on the phone and see their pic, it makes it so much more real. I have seen some these names on threads I have read and threads I have posted. Seeing the happy contentment on thier faces now makes me wonder "How did we let things fall apart?" ... "How did I let things fall apart?"
Thanks for hsaring that with us. To echo sg, come and join us on the weekly prayer posting, as well as the Purpose and maybe phone call. HIS WILL BE DONE.
God be with, TTSMM

All, Our will, His Will, do we really choose?
I woke this morning at 3AM, not able to sleep. After reading the "Purpose..." book, I turned off thelights to go back to bed (or back to sofa ). As I lay there I prayed to God, He filled my mind with various thoughts.
We do have free will. He knows everything of what we are going through. He is always with us.
As is said in scripture, "...He counted/knew the very number of hairs on our head..." (apologize for translation - I am still new to reading the Bible and couldn't find the exact quote). Therefore, He already knows the choices we are going to make, BECAUSE, we already made them, before we were born; the moment when He planned on bringing us into the world. Right now is the physical embodiment/enactment of of the choices we already made. To me this is liberating. To others, it might not be. I see this as I do have free will and freedom to choose, BECAUSE I already did.
OK , I'm ready for the feedback
God be with us ALWAYS, TTSMM

TTSMM,

quote:
OK [Wink] , I'm ready for the feedback [Eek!]

How does your mind handle the quantum relationships? Cause you'll need to bent it a little to comprehend this kind of stuff. And remember even the farm boy got this one lol. (Sorry sg)

quote:
Our will, His Will, do we really choose?

Yes we really do choose. And we don't always do His will.

quote:
He already knows the choices we are going to make, BECAUSE, we already made them, before we were born;

So does this mean we existed on another plain before we were born? I doubt you will find much biblical evidence supporting this thought. We would have to exist (have conscienceness, be alive) before birth in order to make decisions.
Hebrews 9:27 says "Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment,"
Just because God, already knows the choices we "will" make; doesn't mean we have already chosen them.
I just don't see my life's choices (good and bad) being recorded and played back for me to experience later. There are some choices that were really bad for me and if I made the choice then (and experienced the pain then) I would really want to do it differently this time around.
Sorry T, just have a hard time with that one. Do you still like me?
Gotta go.
Bless you.

I love a good debate
God knows everything. God knows when we will be born. God knows when we will die. God knows when/if we get married. God knows when/if we have children.
He knows all this before we came to be. He knows all the choices we will make (MADE).
I am not saying that we existed in some etheral form before we placed on earth. I am saying He already knows EVERY choice we will make. By saying we already made the choices, I meant to say, we already made the choices in His eyes and His knowing.
Trying to communicate this understandably
Lovingly by God's Grace and Mercy, TTSMM

sg,
Mercy!!!!! Understanding???? You bet we're going to let him off the hook. He's a Child of the King!
If he's trying to change the tune, that's close enough to repentance for me. lol.
Hope yur weekend was/is blessed.
Lupo, ...ou out there? You've been on my mind the last few days.

Hi Diamonzzz,
Everything but my eyes has been behaving!!!! They have really.... let's say " been enjoying the scenery " lately. Thank God no one else will read this post and make comments!!!! So God has a Canadian accent huh!!!!!! And I suppose you've seen Jesus out snowboarding the slopes!!!!!!!!
I went to " Let's see you ", but didn't see a picture with your name under it. There were two pages of pictures. All the girls are good lookin, but I just know that your hubby found the Sleeping Beauty of Canada. He has extremely good taste I've heard!!!!! Tell me exactly where I am supposed to look, like third row, second from left, etc. Help your brother from the states out!!!!
You are sounding much better than you were a while back. I'm glad you are past that.
God Bless Diamonzzz singleguy
