Hello all. I've been lurking at the Prayer Request board for quite some time. I've been posting to the Infidelity board under General Questions, see my post What Do I Do Now? But the feeling I get is that if the gossip ain't juicy, the response to help isn't there. I'm not interested in exposing other people's sins (which is what I was advised - tell OWH about A NOW). I just want to do what God expects me to do. I believe that is to pray for his strength to endure and pray for my H soul to return to God because right now he is so far away from Him I don't know how to help him get back. Please pray for our marriage to be restored. Thanks.

I just read the devotional for today from Rejoice Ministries and thought I'd share these verses from it with you. These will be good ones for us to pray.
"In hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil who has taken them captive to do his will." 2 Timothy 2:25-26
"I will open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness." Isaiah 42:7
"I will lead the blind by ways that they have not known, along unfamiliar path. I will guide them. I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them." Isaiah 42:16
"Is anything too hard for the Lord?" Genesis 18:14

Thank you, AW.
You're the only one on the other board that seems to understand where I'm coming from on this issue. So far what I have been doing seems to be working. God is placing the "hedge of thorns" around my H, making his path unfamiliar. Giving him nowhere to turn. Do you understand where I'm coming from on the contacting OWH issue? It seems like I'm all alone on this. I do believe that is what God wants though. He found a way for me to find out about the A w/o any help from others. I believe that God will find a way for the OWH to find out. Could that avenue for his awakening come through me? I'm just so confused. Please enlighten me.

Hi Yvette. Again I apologize for the long time between posts. I don't get much chance to post when my dh is home. I have about 10 min. before I have to leave for work so I wanted to check in with you and see how you are doing.
First please don't get discouraged by what has been posted to you on the General board. The one who has the answers for you is God. What you decide to do (or not do) is between you and Him. Please, dear sister, know that I am praying for you and will pray extra prayers for you today. My heart goes out to you.... have been in a situation similar to yours where God gave me the answers to my H's A and did the 'informing'.
It's just my opinion but I think you are doing the right thing and leaving it up to God. One of the best pieces of advice I got when I was going through the horrible trial was "if in doubt about what to do, don't do anything except pray about it".
The scripture that comes to mind when I think of you is "blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth". Mat 5:5
I will try to write more tonight after hubby goes to bed. I want to encourage you not to give up hope, God is no respecter of persons, what He did for us He will do for you. I pray that your husband's heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: He turneth it whithersoever He will (proverbs 21:1) and I pray that Yvette's husband loves her as Christ loves the Church and gave himself for it.
Keep praying!
God bless you,
AW

Thank you for replying to my post. Remember that I am praying for you. Things can be pretty bad at times but my dad always said that prayer is the answer. Don't feel alone right now because God is with you. Remember that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Standing_For_M, I have been reading your postings and have kept you in my prayers, even though I haven't said one here YET. I would like you to understand why. I still work at the job where the OW works. She had left a couple of years ago and things started getting better for my W and I and I felt hopeful. Then she returned and my M went south very quickly. My W even told the police that she knows I am still sleeping with that sl*t. You problably gussed her name. So please don't take my silence the wrong way. I have to see this OW everyday at work. I have maintained NC with her within the structure of my job, and have even asked to NOT be placed on ay projects with her. My company refused, but thus far, no interaction between. I have been looking for a new position, but with the lousy economy, I have not been able to find anything comprable to support my family. However, I am also looking at a career change, which you can read at this post Need your Prayers and Ideas. Most Powerful God, we ask that you comfort our sister, Your child Standing_For_M, with Your Immense and Unconditional Love. Continue to work on the heart of her husband. Place obstacles between hin and the OW, until he realizes that his efforts at true happiness lie with You and his wife. We ask this through the Precious Blood of Your son, our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. Amen. God Bless, TTSMM

Cheryls, I already ordered the book, read it once & keep going through it when I'm in doubt that things will be different. It has helped me tremendously to trust in the fact that God really is trying to restore this marriage & I've seen changes within myself & my husband & I keep seeing my husband's heart softening, so I know that God is continuing to work very hard at restoration. That darn Satan keeps getting in the way though. Every time something seems to be turning, something equally bad happens. So I definitely know that God is working overtime for this marriage.
Thanks for your prayers, sctaylor. "Where two or three are gathered, there I am also." Thank you so very much. You're in my prayers too.
TTSMM,
Thank you for your prayer & I understand perfectly why you haven't posted one until now. No other explanation is needed. I pray for the restoration of your marriage as well & you are in my thoughts & prayers. I believe you have learned quite a lot from this whole ordeal, & I believe the Lord is using you to reach others within the same situation because you have learned so much. It is always our responsibility as Christians to share the good news with everyone & I believe you are doing that. Thank you for helping me see God's views more clearly from your different posts.
I had a very good night last night. It was my birthday & my D decided to throw me a birthday party. With the help of my best friend & BIL, it turned out very nice. It was a little distressing to walk in & see my in-laws there without my H being there, so I was a little upset at first, but after playing some Christian music to lift my spirits & then some dance music to liven the "party" a little bit, it turned out lovely. I was also a little distressed when my H didn't call at all yesterday to wish me a Happy Birthday. However, when he saw the children tonight, he wished me a late Happy B-day & said he did try to call but he discovered his cell phone was disconnected. From the circumstances he's facing right now, I know this is the truth. That made me feel a whole lot better. He didn't forget about me! Praise the Lord!
Thank you all for your support. I also fast Tuesdays & Thursdays because I joined the Restore Ministries group & that's when they fast. Since everyone here fasts on Wednesdays, maybe this is a sign from God that I should take the 3-day fast. I've never done that before so I know it'll be very hard at first, but maybe this is what I'm being called to do. I'm still not sure though. Would it be all right with everyone on the board if I fast those other two days instead of the regular Wednesdays? I've been in prayer about this, but I'm still not sure what I should do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

SFM, I think God understands and knows what is in your heart. With all the different Christian sites we visit and churches, etc. out there, if we were to follow the fasting schedule, we would never eat <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" /> . Belated Happy Birthday and may God grant you many more, TTSMM
