Okay, so I'm a hippy at heart: WE ALL NEED SOME PEACE AND LOVE IN OUR LIVES.
It's the holiday season, it's cold outside... time for fires to lay by, hands to hold, children to bundle...
It can be a time of spiritual renewal.
I need help remembering these things. I can get so selfish, so vain, as if I matter most around here.
Love. Hope. Peace. I wish these for us all.
Big hugs to all, even if you think I'm just a loopy 40-something year old stuck in the 60's...
------------------
Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss it you are among the stars!!

Hey NB,
I too just love a fire. There's nothing like it. My parent's house has a most magnificent fireplace with a huge mantle. I remember as a kid just staring into it with wonderment. [Hey, maybe that's the reason I'm wacked today?] The flames jumping up and down dancing just for me. The glow of the embers. Comforting heat. The smell that filled the entire house. The romantic feelings that it brings to the surface. What memories!
One last thought on this touching sensitive subject. How many gallons of gasoline do you think I would need to start the OM's home on fire? It's a modest two story single dwelling with vinyl siding. The ugliest YELLOW siding you ever saw! It's maybe 25 X 75 foot. I figure that puppy should go up like a roman candle! I can see the headlines. "One crispy kritter found in blase with unknown origin".
I CAN DREAM CAN'T I.

------------------
Wishing us all the Best.
Medic

Ewwwww Medic!!!! That's not a "grip" thought!!!!! LOL!!!
Leave that poor puppy alone!!! I can think of another "puppy" to pick on - the one that hangs on the OM....Oooh!! Now you've got me doing it!!! Shame on you - you corruptor!!!! LOL!!
Hi NB -
I'm with you...let's get those old warm cozy "Peace, Love, etc." thoughts going on around here and in our own heads!!
I had to laugh yesterday...On the way to my brother's for dinner I looked around at all the cars parked at so many houses. How wonderful to be celebrating with family!!
On the way home - the radio was playing Christmas songs.....guess they start right away, huh? As I was driving by those same car lined houses - so many of them had their xmas lights up and on!!
It's like within the span of 5 hours - BOOM - here's X-mas!!!!
What's the deal....is there some new rule that you must decorate for Christmas after Turkey instead of watching football?
It was uplifting - the lights, the music and had me singing away!!!!!
I wonder how I can get some lights on the outside of this house by myself?
HUGS,
Sheba

Sorry NB,
I think the Wellbutrin is kicking in again. I'm back to my goofy self.
Seriously, the points you make are timeless. I always get a tranquil feeling with the smell of a live Christmas tree. I'm going out for one next weekend. Hopeing for a white Christmas.

------------------
Wishing us all the Best.
Medic

SHEBA!,
I told you there is no puppy involved! No cats either. Forget the puppy. No birds, fish or rabid wolverines. Just pretend that he, the d@mned puppy that you think so highly of, must have jumped out the window before I.......um the fire started..... see... yeah that's the ticket. The only animal that I know of that lived in the residence [OM] is a "dog". Did I say that out loud?
Now see what you made me do to NB's nice thread? How do you sleep at night? [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] Great exercise. Thanks for playing along. NB, you know that S.... started it.

------------------
Wishing us all the Best.
Medic

Cheese and crackers!!!!!!!!!!!
Will you guys get off the d@mn puppy thing! LOOK !!!!!!! It was really a cheap immitation of a stuffed animal that was ugly as sin, filled with shards of fiberglass and had two small plastic eyes that could be easily picked off by a one year old infant that would cause a complete airway obstruction made in a sweat shop owned by Kathy Lee, OK?
OH SOULLOSS, I take great offence to the reference "children are you done with the matches" comment. You will be hearing from my corporate attorneys! I only use a gold plated Zippo!
Jerry's final thought. If I never learn anything in this lifetime or website about being a great H. I WILL NEVER look at a guy's hairy @$$ and say "This is love".
You Guys are wacked!!!!
------------------
Wishing us all the Best.
Medic

Medic -- "On Jerry's final thought" ROTFLMAO ....
You know, I used to watch that show once in a while and wonder what kind of people he had as guests...It's hard to watch now, because I can see myself, W and OM appearing.....
"My life has turned into an episode of Jerry Springer"

Okay, I've held my tongue long enough... WAIT... holding my tongue... with what? Fingers?... salad tongs?... perhaps a hot fork??
Now that my friends, would be fodder for Jerry's show... and if I added a body modification, say some type of lizard motif tatooed on my tail, er, I mean hip, ya, that's what I meant, I don't have a tail, honest I don't... <choke>...
My question is: what ever happened to my peace, love and understanding post??? It has been DEFILED, I tell ya!!!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Hi NB,
I have absolutely no idea what happened to your peace, love and understanding post. That was a great idea! It would have lifted up all our spirits here. And ya know all it takes is a few bad apples that had to ruin it for the rest of us. Where is the moderator of this forum anyway? How could this happen? I DEMAND ANSWERS!
Last I can remember is that I was responding to you about my parents fireplace and the fond memories that it brought back to me as a child. Then out of the blue and before ya know it Sheba starts the trouble. Something about a small dog, I think.
If only there were Cyber Police I know someone in the southern hemisphere would be in Cyber Jail right about now.
I gotta go. This really bothers the dickens out of me. What happened to this forum?

------------------
Wishing us all the Best.
Medic
