My wife told me lastnight that she had filed for the divorce last Thursday, just when I thought things were getting better and she even hinted reconciling. I'm all heart broken now and lost most of my faith that God will restore my marriage. Please pray that God will stop the procedding and that my marriage will be restore.

Hello Jamesp - I welcome the opportunity to pray with you and affirm God's goodness in your life. God is the source of divne order. I believe we are children of God and we oftern go to God as children with the understanding that if we want something "good" bad enough we should get it, now. (I am speaking from my personal experience.) When we go to God in prayer my "limited" understanding of the bible says we have to go to Him in complete faith. Catch 22, if we go to God and ask Him to give us what "we" want, it seems we are not trusting that He sees the whole picture and that there is nothing that needs to be learned from our current situation. God's love is shinning brightly within you and your wife. Trust God, listen and He will guide you. Challeges can open the doors to MANY BLESSINGS in faith.

James,
I'm sorry that you are here under these conditions, but welcome to our family! I will be praying for you and your wife.
Lord, We lift James and his wife to you to do Your perfect will in their lives. We ask that you rebuke and bind Satan with his lies and deceitful ways and raise this marriage to glory! Be with James, guide him in his journey and I pray that You will turn this wife's heart to a different direction, back to her husband, soften her, mold her into the person you created her to be. We ask too, that you lead James into the life he was meant to have. All this we ask in Jesus' name, Amen.

Jamesp,
I am so sorry to hear this sad news. I'm soory that your heart is in pain and that your faith seems so far away. I will stand and pray with you:
Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the Universe, Creator of man and woman--creator of marriage. Abba, we bring Jamesp and his wife into Your presence and ask that YOUR will be done in their lives. We ask that You help Jamesp and his wife to understand what Your will is, and we ask that You send them Your peace and send them acceptance of Your will--even if they don't like it. We ask that You send Jamesp and his wife the courage to soften their hearts and humble themselves before You--the courage to admit their wrongs to each other and to change where they can. We ask that You send Jamesp and his wife YOUR wisdom. Carry Jamesp in the palm of Your hand and send ministering angels to comfort him today. We completely trust in You and completely surrender Jamesp and his wife into Your hands, because we know that You have a specific plan for each of us. Thank You for the mighty work You are beginning in their lives. AMEN.

Thank you all of you for your prayers. I think it might be working. Yesterday I decided to suprise my daughter by leaving work ealry and picked her up at her pre-K school. On my way home I decide to try and prepare my daughter for what might be happening and she was very upset so I stopped. When I got home I told my wife that D was having a hardtime dealing with this and she decided to give it a try and explain it to D. As she was explaining it to her and I can see that my daughter was very confuse and hurt by this and have asked many question such as why, no she did not want daddy to move, etc.. I couldn't take it anymore so I broke down and cried, My daughter (4 years old) came over to comfort me and ask me not to be sad anymore. My wife then decided that my D had enoug and stopped talking about it. I took my daughter and son out for a walk since it was a nice day in upstate NY (well!! it was sunny, no wind, temp in the high 30s <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> you can't ask for more in Feburary around here) once we got back into the house I can sense that something was not right with my wife so I asked if she was ok, I figured she would of just say yes to brushed me off, but she didn't, she said that things were not ok. I then asked her if thins were not ok then why is she doing this to which she had no answer for. I then proceed to tell her that Divorce is not the only way out of this and that we should try marraige cousenling for 6 months and see what happen. I was again supprised that she didn't say no to this (usually she would have said no) at which point I figured it was best for me to drop the subject and next her think about it a little.
This is where I'm rigth now, I think that when she had a talked with my daughter, it might have dawn on her what she is doing will hurt more people and she realized.
Anyway, Thanks to your prayers I think God might be working on her and me again. Please keep it coming.
Thank you and God bless you all..

Jamesp I will stand next to you in prayer. When my husband said he hated me and wanted out, I must have known I could run to God because I did. Then I just begged/prayed that He would restore my marriage. Today I see that restoring my relationship with God is what I needed/need to do (and I don't have control over anything else). Now what I pray for (live for) is that God will restore me with his grace and faith. My marriage was sick and dysfunctional although my H and I are both Christians neither one of us was living a Godly life. Staying in the marriage the way "it was" was not leading to anything good. Today I'm grateful that God has given me the opportunity to see that. I also know that if it's for "our" greatest good and it will bring us closer to God, He will restore our marriage. I will stand next to you in prayer.

One day at a time. Just hold Jesus' hand & he will walk with you. You're in for a very big emotional rollercoaster ride. Remember, if God brings you to it, He will see you through it.
