Every Wed. we pray and fast for one another for resolution to our marriages and our lives. Every Wed. we can check in and let our fellow prayer warriors know we have prayed for the group. Prayer does mighty things and group prayer is even better. "For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst." Matt 18:20.

I will be entering the prayer post on Sundays so everyone has an opportunity to check in and to add their own personal prayer request if they want to/need to. Then on Wed. we can check in, hit the "Post Reply" button, and enter "Amen".

I think it will be great to see how God works in our lives and heals our marriages and us. If you want to pray with us I will be more than happy to add your name to the list below.

The Power of a Praying Wife

Chapter Fifteen – His Priorities

Men have many different ideas about what their priorities should be. But every wife feels she should be at the top of her husband’s list – right there under God. I’ve found, however, that if a wife wants her husband’s priorities to be in that kind of order, she has to make sure hers are in that order as well. In other words, if you want your husband to place you as a priority over work, children, friends, and activities, you need to do the same for him. If God and spouse aren’t clearly top priorities in your life, your husband will have less incentive to make them so in hi.

If you feel that you just don’t have the time and energy to put your husband first and all that’s expected of you, ask God for a fresh filling of his Holy Spirit. Seek Him first and He will help you get your priorities in order. If your schedule doesn’t allow time with God and draw on His strength, then rework your priorities and make a new schedule. The old one is not working.

In the business my husband is in, we often see people experience success quickly. The problem with that is a spirit of lust for more success, more power, and more wealth usually comes along with it. When these people don’t make a special effort to keep their priorities in order, their pride guides them, and they buy into its lure. They slip into overdrive, leaving God, family, church, and friends in their dust. When these shooting stars come back to earth, the landing is often hard. We don’t want that to happen, even on a small scale, to our husbands. Pray for you husband to always put God first, you second, and children third. Then, no matter what else is going on in his life, his priorities will be in order and there will be greater peace and happiness ahead for both of you.

PRAYER

God, I proclaim You Lord over his life. Help me to seek You first every day and set my priorities in perfect order. Reveal to me how to properly put my husband before children, work, family, friends, activities, and interests. Show me what I can do right now to demonstrate to him that he has this position in my heart. Mend the times I have caused him to doubt that. Tell me how to prioritize everything so that whatever steals life away, or has no lasting purpose, will not occupy my time.

I pray for my husband’s priorities to be in perfect order as well. Be Lord and Ruler over his heart. Help him to choose a simplicity of life that will allow him to have time alone with You, Lord, a place to be quiet in Your presence every day. Speak to him about making Your Word, prayer and praise a priority. Enable him to place me and our children in greater prominence in his heart than career, friends and activities. I pray he will seek You first and submit his all to You, for when he does I know I know the other pieces of his life will fit together perfectly.

AMEN!

Chapter Sixteen – Her Desires

Is there an interest you wish your wife would share with you? Pray for her to develop that interest. Obviously, nothing is impossible with God. He can even open your wife’s eyes to the thrills and wonders of your favorite pastime. All she needs is a little prayer. But there is more to pray about than just interests and activities. There are dreams and desires that should be prayed about too.

Everyone has dreams. Some of them come from our flesh, but many are put in our hearts by God. It’s vitally important to know which is which, because it is miserable when we mistake our own dreams for His. When we pursue our own dreams and make idols out of them, we become unfulfilled. When we don’t pursue the ones He gives us, we become bitter.

It’s not that God doesn’t want us to dream. He does. God says we can’t live without a dream or vision. But He doesn’t want us to leave Him out of it. And if the dream we are dreaming is not from the Lord, we will be forever frustrated by the fact that it is never realized. He wants us to surrender our dreams to Him. When we do that, it will seem as if they are completely dead. But God will resurrect the ones that are from Him and release us from the ones that are not.

It’s amazing how we can live in the same house with a person for years and never know the deepest desire of his or her heart. And all because we don’t ask. Often our dreams and desires as so deep we don’t even verbalize them. Or we believe that the possibility of them ever happening is so remote that we lose hope.

Sometimes the answers to life’s frustrations are so simple. As simple as asking a loved one about her dream and then praying it into existence or completely out of her life. Husbands, if you want a happy and fulfilled wife who is a joy to be around, ask her if there is a dream deep within her heart that she longs to see fulfilled. Listen openly as she describes it, with no judgment, no condemnation, no lecture on why it’s not possible. Then pray for her to be able to surrender it to the Lord. When she is able to surrender her dream to God, He will either take the desire for it away, or else bring it to fruition in His way and in His time. Either way, she will find peace.

If the dream your wife shares with you is of the Lord and He opens a door, encourage her to walk through it. If her dream is not of God, He will use your prayers to release her to something far better and more rewarding. And the rewards of a released wife are ones you will thank me for later on.

Prayer Power
Lord, I pray that You would touch {wife’s name} this day and fulfill her deepest desires. Help her to surrender her dreams to You so that You can bring to life the ones You have placed in her heart. I pray that she will never try to follow a dream of her own making, one that You will not bless. Help her to surrender her plans so that You can reveal Your plan. I know that in Your plan, timing is everything. May she reach for her highest dreams in Your perfect timing.

Lord, I pray that in the midst of all my wife has to do, there would be time for what she enjoys most. Help me to understand the things that interest her. I also pray that You would make a way for us to share {name a specific activity or interest you would like to do together}. Help her to understand my enjoyment of it, and may she develop an appreciation for it too. Show me how to encourage her in this area. Give me words without any negative undertones that will inspire her. If this is not an appropriate activity for us, show us one that would be. I pray we will have common interests we can enjoy together.

Lord, I know that You would not give us dreams that aren’t compatible. I pray that the desires of our hearts will be perfectly knitted together. May we not only be caught up in own dreams but in each other’s as well. Help us to always share with one another the deepest desires of our hearts.
Amen.

Will be praying for everyone on Wednesday.

Please add my latest praise report.

While it may have been controversial, to say the least, it IS still true that H's relationship is now permanently over w/ow.

This is a pre-emptive prayer request. My employer announced 10% job cuts last week. While everyone enjoyed the bump in stock prices, I really don't want to add a job search to my list of stressors right now.

Of course, if God wants me somewhere else, the I'm hoping for an easy job search if it comes to that.

My fellow Prayer Warriors,
I am praying and fasting for all of you today.

Since coming to this forum I have seen many postings and prayers that talked about a "hedge of thorns" around our spouses, etc. Well I finally checked on the Internet and this is what I found.

</font><blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote:</font><hr /><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">The ‘Hedge of Thorns’ prayer
The hedge of thorns prayer is used to “build a hedge of thorns” around your partner,
protecting her against evil influences.
Prerequisites:
1. Salvation—This prayer can be used only by a Christian.
2. Victory over sin—God warns that if there is sin in our hearts, He will not hear us.
3. A clear conscience—First ask God and your partner for forgiveness from the
blame and hurts of your past failures.

The prayer to bind Satan and build a “Hedge of Thorns:”
Heavenly Father, I ask you to rebuke and bind Satan in the name and
through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
I ask you to build a ‘hedge of thorns’ around my partner, so that anyone with
wrong influence will lose interest in her and leave.
I base this prayer on the command of Your word which states, “What
therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.”
Thank You for hearing and answering my prayer.

What will happen when you pray this prayer?
Three things will begin to happen when you pray a “hedge of thorns” around your
unfaithful partner:
1. She will become confused and lose direction. “I will hedge up thy way with
thorns, and make a wall, that she shall not find her paths.” Hosea 2:6 (KJV)
2. Any other “lovers” lose interest and leave. “She shall follow after her lovers, but
she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but she shall not find them…”
Hosea 2:7a (KJV)
3. Troubles will motivate your partner to return. “…Then shall she say, I will go and
return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now.” Hosea 2:7 b
(KJV)

Thanks for sharing IIHHN.

Just checking in to let everyone know I am praying for you all today.

I have a special prayer request today. My mom's boss's son needs LOTS of prayer. His name is Stephen and is in his early 20's. He is in a very rebellious stage right now and very angry at God for his sickness (don't remember what it is). There is nothing else his parents can do for him but let him be. Unfortunately, since he is not taking care of himself, he can die sooner than expected. Please keep him in your prayers.

God Bless!
