Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the Universe, Creator of Brian and his dear Abba. As You know, Your beloved son Brian is there at Your side but in a coma here on earth. Father, Brian is well-loved here on this earth, by many, many people who miss him. We pray together with them that you would either raise up Your hand and heal him or end his life and take your dear child to be with You in bliss.
While he is yet here with us, give those who love him encouragement and peace. Give them strength and dry their tears. Ease their worries and show them that even here on earth, Brian knows Your peace. And if You choose to give him the gift of being with You, remind us that he is in Your presence and there is no greater joy. Comfort and uplift the sorrowing and shield them with Your angel's wings.

hurtingPromiseKeeper, thank you. I have no idea how I learned to pray like this--it just comes out of me. I can say though that I think I have the gift of being a writer.
