Every Wed. we pray and fast for one another for resolution to our marriages and our lives. Every Wed. we can check in and let our fellow prayer warriors know we have prayed for the group. Prayer does mighty things and group prayer is even better. "For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst." Matt 18:20.

I will be entering the prayer post on Sundays so everyone has an opportunity to check in and to add their own personal prayer request if they want to/need to. Then on Wed. we can check in, hit the "Post Reply" button, and enter "Amen".

I think it will be great to see how God works in our lives and heals our marriages and us. If you want to pray with us I will be more than happy to add your name to the list below.

The Power of a Praying Wife

Chapter Twenty-Three - His Walk

A man’s walk is the way he journeys through life – his direction, his focus, the steps he takes. Every day he chooses a path. One path will take him forward. All others will take him back. The way he walks affects every aspect of his being – how he relates to other people, how he treats his family, how people view him, even how he looks. I’ve seen men who were unattractive by any standard change radically as they learned to walk with the Spirit of God. As His image became imprinted upon theirs, they developed a richness of soul, a glorious purity, and an inner confidence of knowing what direction they were going. This gave them a strength and a sense of purpose that is not only attractive and appealing, it’s magnetic.

The Bible reveals much about the kind of walk we should have. We are to walk with moral correctness because “no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly” (Psalm 84:11). We are to walk without fault because “whoever walks blamelessly will be saved” (Proverbs 28:18). We are to walk with godly advisors because “blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly” (Psalm 1:1). We are to walk in obedience because “blessed is every one who fears the Lord, who walks in His ways” (Psalm 128:1). We are to walk with people of wisdom because “he who walks with wise men will be wise” (Proverbs 13:20). We are to walk with integrity because “he who walks with integrity walks securely” (Proverbs 10:9). Most of all, we are to walk a path of holiness. “A highway shall be there, and a road, and it shall be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it, but it shall be for others. Whoever walks the road, although a fool, shall not go astray” (Isaiah 35:8). The best part about walking on the Highway of Holiness is that even if we end up doing something dumb, we still won’t get thrown off the path.
leads to life, and there are few who find it” (Matthew 7:14). Pray for you husband to find it. Pray that he is guided by God’s Holy Spirit. Pray that he stays on the path of having faith in God’s Word, a heart for obedience, and deep repentance for any actions he takes that are not God’s will for his life. Faith and obedience will get him on the Highway of Holiness; walking in the Spirit, and not in the flesh, will keep him there.

God desires that your husband’s every step be led by Him (Galatians 5:25), so He can walk with him and grow him into His image. A man who walks with God is very desirable indeed.

PRAYER

“O Lord, I know the way of man is not in himself; it is not in man who walks to direct his own steps” (Jeremiah 10:23). Therefore, Lord, I pray that You would direct my husband’s steps. Lead him in Your light, teach him Your ways, so he will walk in Your truth. I pray the he would have a deeper walk with You and an ever progressing hunger for Your Word. May Your presence be like a delicacy he never ceases to crave. Lead him on Your path and make him quick to confess when he strays from it. Reveal to him any hidden sin that would hinder him from walking rightly before You. May he experience deep repentance when he doesn’t live in obedience to Your laws. Create in him a clean heart and renew a steadfast spirit within him. Don’t cast him away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from him (Psalm 51:10, 11).

Lord, Your Word says that those who are in the flesh cannot please You (Romans 8:8). So I pray that You will enable (husband’s name) to walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh and thereby keep himself “from the paths of the destroyer: (Psalm 17:4). As he walks in the Spirit, may he bear the fruit of the Spirit, which is love, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22, 23). Keep him on the Highway of Holiness so that the way he walks will be integrated into every part of his life. AMEN!

I prayed for all of you today. I have a prayer request of my own. Could you please pray for my grandmother. She's 80 and lives in NY. She is very ill, we think she's close to death, cancer possibly. My mother and my sister are going up there to be with her & take care of some business matters that need attended to before they move her to PA to be with all of us. The rest of my family that is in NY wants nothing to do with her because of the way she has acted over the course of the years (yes, she's quite a handful). I pray that God watches over her & puts his healing hand upon her. If this is the time that she is to be with you Lord, if you wish to bring her into your Kingdom, touch her so she can reconcile herself unto You before she passes so she may spend eternity with You. All this I ask in Jesus' name. Your will be done. Amen.

Update on grandmother -- My mother & sister arrived in NY safely. They went to visit my grandmother in the hospital & being she didn't know they were coming, she was overfilled with joy to see them, especially my mother. Doctor says she might have vascular disease. She suspects Nanni's aeorta is enlarged & is pressing against her stomach making her nautious, thereby making her dizzy. She is also in a lot of pain on her side, so keep those prayers coming for her please. It could be a while before she'll be able to travel to come to PA.

Meanwhile, we're going to get things ready for her to move here -- cancelling her phone, changing addresses, contacting social security, etc. Boy, will my mother be busy! Thank God she has my sister with her to help. My mother is 59 and has many health problems as well.

They say that once your parents raise you, it's time to raise them in return. I'm finding this to be so true now that my H & I's mothers are getting older. We're always worried about their health, any falls, etc. Even though our mothers are only 59 years old each, they have health problems too & it seems as if we're always checking up on them to make sure they're okay.

Thanks for your prayers.

Y

Update on grandmother - She is out of the hospital. I don't know the rest of the details yet, but thank you for your prayers. God's will be done!

Thanks, Y
