I am desperately in need of God's guidance and I'm here to ask for your prayers.
My ex-H and I just had a horrible violent (physical and verbal) fight. Our divorce is final June 30. We would have been married three years on July 4. It was a rebound marriage that I came to regret. He said he didn't regret it.
I believe we love each other. I also believe we can't be together. We seem to be able to trigger hot spots in each other that we didn't even know we had. And it gets ugly.
I have two children. A girl, 16, and a boy, 13. He is not their father. They have witnessed violence in this second marriage. It was disastrous.
We needed to end it but neither of us would/could. I finally did and like I said, it's final on June 30. But, emotionally I can't seem to let go. It seems like a real sickness.
And worst of all, I know what it's doing to my children. I need to be strong and not allow myself to be mistreated to model that behaviour to my children.
I need God's help. Please pray for me,
Francis

Francis,
Have you considered a time apart while you both seek counseling?
Are you willing, and is he?
