Well, brothers and sisters,
Here it is. We have prayed. We continue to pray. We believe God for restoration and reconciliation of marriages.
I am happy to announce that my xH and I are *officially engaged*!!!!
PTL!!!! \O/
We just went through a hurricane here, and he came over (from the other side of the state), to help, to be with me, to help rebuild. While he was here, he got to attend church with me on a more regular basis. He was able to participate in rebuilding efforts for those in our church, and others our church members are helping to rebuild. He got so involved, it was truly miraculous. He really IS a good guy, and has a good heart. A real helping spirit. He jumped right in, and fit right in, too. He was welcomed and embraced by our church and pastors.
During the long nights (while we are under curfew), and without electricity - but we did have a generator for fans, we talked a lot. We talked about our relationship.........we talked about God, our past, our mistakes, and our future.
Then, at some point, he made the announcement that we can tell others that he is coming *home* permanently, and we are now officially engaged!
I couldn't wait to get power to my computer, and let my MB friends all know!! After all, we have prayed for each other together - it seems like forever. We are believing in the miracles God will do for us. It's only right to let each other know when God DOES move in one of our lives.........
I will keep all of you posted as to our progress. Right now, the biggest thing is the rebuilding efforts regarding Hurricane Charley. I am trying to put my house back together........there is very little damage to my home, although almost all my trees have been lost. My yard, my dog pens, etc. were totally trashed. He worked and cleaned and rebuilt and paid to haul off trash from all that.......
We had a real surreal experience of being here, and yet we were like being in a third world country..........we had to cook over a barbeque (all 3 meals!!!), and do things by candlelight, except for the one or two lamps we plugged into the generator, along w/the refrigerator. We took cold showers (no hot water - don't let your minds wander!)
Yet through it all, God was working on his heart. Telling him to come "home" - telling him we were getting closer and He wanted us to re-marry.......
Anyway, I'm rambling now. If there are any things you want answers to, I'll be glad to answer. I'm pretty much up to full power again. He has returned back to the other side of the state to pack up his apartment, load up a U-Haul, and head back (but might take a couple of weeks, since most of the trucks are now being used for the clean-up efforts.........plus the first of the month is coming up).
Thank all of my friends for your prayers. Thank all of my friends who kicked my butt when I needed it. Thank GOD, most of all, WHO IS ALWAYS FAITHFUL TO DO WHAT HE SAYS HE WILL DO.
Don't quit, folks. DON'T stop believing. DON'T stop asking, and praying, and don't stop STANDING if God has told you to stand.
HE WILL DO WHAT HE SAYS HE'S GOING TO DO.
Amen and Amen!

Congratulations on the engagement!
I didn't know you were in the area affected by Charley. We thought we would be (Manatee County) until the last moment.
Hope you get power back soon. A co-worker who lives over by Myakka City spoke to some friends who work with the power company. They estimated my co-worker and his wife will be without power for another two weeks or so.
God Bless, Richard
