This isn't exactly a recreation idea, but it's a "together idea". We found that so often on weekends we were both busy working and didn't have a lot of time together,so we decided we needed to work together as much as possible. Now we sometimes cook meals together, work on the yard or car together, grocery shop and run errands together, do home improvements together. We can't do everything together, but try to do as much as we can. Working together is much more fun than doing it alone and we have more time together! I am also learning lots of new things.

Hi Luvbug!
We started doing all of those things together after dday, and of course, when we got comfortable again with one another. There's not much we do without one another now, and it's great!
I don't particularly like football, but my H watches it as much as possible in the wintertime, so I bought season tickets to his favorite team. Now there's a recreational companion!
We've also started doing things like volleyball, rollerblading, walking. We even clean the house together. What a difference! We never used to do anything together. I mean nothing! It's like a whole new relationship and we've been together for 8 years (coming up in June). Dday was in January, and for the most part, our whole lives changed for the better.
I love him being my recreational companion and vice versa. We have a lot of fun together now, even if it's just a little thing like grocery shopping!
