Well I started from the beginning for the fourth time. I am as far as the chapter on affection BUT needed to post on "The Power"<P>Page 14, "we have been given authority over all the power of the enemy".(Luke 10:19)<P>We can do great damage to the enemy's plan when we pray. Many difficult things that happen in a marriage relationship are actually part of the enemy's plan set up for its demise. (We can all testify to that can't we.)<P>Page 15, You have the means to estalish a hedge of protection around your marriage because Jesus said, "Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven".(Matthew 18:18) <P>My prayer for all of us is that, IN THE NAME OF JESUS , EVIL WILL BE STOPPED AND GOOD PERMITTED. Lord, release our spouses from any bondage that has kept them from being the person You intend them to be. Everyone,<P>I wanted to bring this to the top because in light of some of the posts as of the last few days it would seem that we have made the devil very unhappy. <P>There are several situations that are on the verge of a breakthru and there are some that are really battling the enemy of our souls.<P>God is able! Lets renew our committment to uphold one another and spouses in prayer daily. Especially AW, Lor, and POGP. I enthusiastically agree! I set my prayer list on the dash of my car and pray a round of prayers for each of us every morning on the way to work. Lor is in my mind all the time. Let's all pray for her and her situation. Taj is so right, the enemy is going to try even harder to get us to give up and lose faith now that we have seen some progress. I know Satan has been after my H big time in the last 2 days. <P>Because "we have been given authority over all the power of the enemy" we can claim victory. We have to keep our faith and stay in continuous prayer mode.

Hi. I have been praying and singing in my car alot lately, and one thing keeps coming to mind-- the changes that we desire in our marriages, our homes, ourselves and our husbands are all miracle changes. You know, victories over darkness, victory over different forms of bondage, etc.<P>I have been encouraged over and over by singing this old (1787) hymn in my car. Note especially the last verse. The soul...that hath LEANED FOR REPOSE ... that means resting on Jesus when we are worn out and weary...he promises to be with us. <P>Even if we have been deserted by our spouse or friends and family, Jesus is there for us. CONFIRMATION!!<BR> it is so amazing how God does that! i come here and see how God moves----way too similar to be a coincedance. for the month of november, as a family we memorized and sang "how firm a foundation". the 5 of us sing a hymn after dinner or breakfast, and that was our hymn of the month. i chose it for those very lines you highlighted. and at times in the car i scream and cry out "THAT SOUL THOUGH ALL HELL SHOULD ENDEAVOR TO SHAKE, I'LL NEVER NO NEVER NO NEVER FORSAKE". and sometimes i just tell my girls "mommy needs to hear how firm a foundation". i had them memorize phil.4:4-8 to remind me what i need to keep my mind on. but guess what we are working on this week? Eph.6:10-18. "finally my brothers be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of the age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places..." (that's what we got up to) and my 7 yr. old twins made up armor out of old pot lids, milk jugs, and duct tape. Let us not forget the POWER!!!<BR> Luke 10:19 "I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpians, and to OVERCOME all the power of the enemy."

It is so amazing and so awe inspiring! It appears that we are each being led to verses that have the same basic content - we are fighting a spiritual war and the enemy is trying harder and harder to break down our faith. But instead, the trials STRENGTHEN our faith. <P>I second Taj's "Thanks for the confirmation of His Power in our lives to transform us, our husbands and our circumstances". AMEN
