Stormie's prayer is so eloquent and well-done for protection.
With our recent reconciliation, both my H & I have been under Enemy attack. His attack comes in the form of hopelessness and the belief he will never change, no matter how much he prays. My attack is in the fantasy that another relationship would be better (stupid, since I'm here because of my H's affair--that he admits was based in fantasy).
So, I pray the Lord's protection upon my H, me, and our children.
------------------
Lor
"Do not get tired of doing what is right, for after awhile you will reap a harvest of blessings if you do not get discouraged and give up. (Gal 6:9)

Since my H isn't walking with God as he should he isn't reading the Bible or praying at least that I am aware of, I feel that he needs the protection of my prayers on his behalf.
Stormie makes the statement on pg 107 that "He(God) can even be a shield to someone we pray about because of our faith"(Proverbs 30:5) That is Stormie's paraphrase.
The past 2 weeks before my H went to a seminar on public speaking he has asked me to pray for him. He has had bouts of insomnia as well as nausea because he hates public speaking. The company he works for has paid for him to go so he has an obligation. Last week was the first time in about 2 months that he has slept following the seminar.
This may sound like a small thing but if it begins to convince my H of the power of God again then I say PTL! ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif)
The devil attacks our H's anyway he can. He seeks to destroy their image, integrity and their esteem. Thank you Lord for hearing my prayer and protecting my husband from the attacks of the evil one. Help me to faithfully uphold my husband daily and help him to begin to see Your power to protect.

I need to keep praying about the subtleties of the enemy... The protection really needs to cover the exposure to 'HOW' the enemy is attacking... If I can have the spiritual blinders taken off, and ears opened to Gods discernment in this area, half the battle is won! I can come against the enemy in a directed focused prayer of protection!!
Lets all pray that the enemies tactics are revealed so that our prayers avail with much power!!!
cozy
