Please pray for my husband to be delivered from alcohol and cigarettes. His drinking really does bother me and,and I know that it is a curse because, his grandfather passed away from alcohol, his aunt, uncle, and lastly his father in Nov. of last year, all of them 50years and under. This really frightens me sometimes, because I know it's such a stronghold in his life. He was suppose to go to an AA meeting tonight, but he didn't go, actually came home with beer.I am about ready to leave, even though he's not violent or abusive to me or our five children, it's emotionally hard, because I feel as though if he doesn't stop now, the curse will continue. Please pray with me for him.

tchoun,
We welcome you to the Study, "Power of a Praying Wife". We encourage you to get the book and begin to study it with us. So many of us have been changed by the new approach we have learned in praying for our husbands. Praying is more powerful then any thing we have done up to this point.
We will pray for you and your situation. There are others on this board who will relate to your h's problem with alcohol, they have alot of compassion and insight. I haven't had that aspect to deal with in our relationship, just the betrayal. We really don't emphasis the betrayal but we do emphasis the power of God to bring restoration to our marriages.
Lord, I ask that you would enter into this situation and bring your perfect healing to this marriage. Release this man from the addictions that plague him and cause him to see that you are enough for us all. Restore that which was lost through betrayal and bring this marriage to the place of dependence on you. Make these two whole again through the power of your love. In Jesus Name I Pray.
