I have been on this roller coaster ride for over 13 months. Has anyone been standing in the gap for this long. My faith keeps me strong but some days. I just want to give up. I try not to bother my family about my problems I keep them to myself. Our children 15, 19, 23. They are so hurt and mad. I do believe its harder on them that they are older than if they were young. Please Pray as I do pray for everyone. God Bless the book I learned about on this site. It helps me a lot.

Brown0674,
There are many like you and myself who have been praying for our H's for a long time. I myself am into my 3rd year. At times it is so overwhelming that defeat is like a shadow.
There is strength on this forum though so I recommend you post and post often. Small answers to prayer are like huge miracles when you are walking with God. We see wonderful changes all the time in ourselves and our h's.
Yes, I agree, for older children an affair seperating their parents is more devastating. They are old enough to understand the meaning of betrayal. In my case both of my kids knew and tried to intervene. My H talked both of them out of it telling them nothing was going on and putting them on a guilt trip. They of course after the fact felt they had betrayed me by not telling me. They are now just getting back some kind of relationship with their father.
Lord, I lift up this family to you. Encourage their hearts and heal their wounds. Bring unity back and restore this marriage. Give this woman strength to continue to stand in the gap. Help these children to deal with the hurt they feel. Protect them from the ungodly example that they have witnessed in their father. May this family find their wholeness in you.
