Again, God's words spoken directly to me through Stormie's book. Except in this instance, the words are intended for me, because I was the one with the bad attitude. Maybe I could get my H to pray for me for a good attitude (LOL). <P>I am so thankful for Stormie writing this book. I needed to re-read this chapter a week ago. After reading it again tonight, I feel strongly that God wants me to continue praying for my husband to have a joyous and happy attitude, but more importantly for me to pray that the Lord gives ME a joyous and happy attitude. Because I've been slipping back into my old fears, which in turn make me have a negative attitude. <P>I love this part of Stormie's prayer: "Enable him to bear all things, believe all things, hope all things, and endure all things (1 Cor. 13:7). <P>I will be praying her prayer for my husband, and will also pray the same prayer for myself, so that I can keep building a happy, loving, contented attitude.<P>Another area where our motto works - SUAP (Shut Up And Pray). <P>

AW,<BR>Boy you said it, attitude. It is such an easy thing to change when you see it, but sometimes so hard to see you need to change it. That is the way for me. <BR>My husband came over to watch the Superbowl with us a while. I drove him home, alone. It was srange and in some ways he seemed a stranger. Funny when I got back my friend who was also over said he seemed like a stranger in his own home. I pray that it was God working on him. I wondered after he left on Sat and my daughter and I went offf to do things and he went into work if he felt the loss of his family or sad because we were doing things without him. He was invited but didn't choose to go with us.<BR>I asked him to go to the movies and he said no he wasn't ready but at least he didn't say no, or I don't want to. I guess I write all this because I don't want to have a bad attitude toward my husband and our chances of getting back together. <BR>AW, we all need to work on our attitudes. It seems they can change suddenly with no warning and just sneak up on you if you don't watch and are aware. Thanks for posting.

I admit I can be a very moody person who can use an attitude adjustment frequently. I am still working with God in this area to let him work in me and change my attitude. I need to lighten up. thanks NewDay for sharing the quote from Charles Swindoll. I'd never heard that particular one before, and I plan to save it too for those times when I get down in the dumps. I, too, have a daily (well, probably more like hourly) battle with my attitude. And I know right where my negative attitude comes from - Satan. I now include a message in my morning prayers to tell Satan to stay out of my life, he has no place in it because I was bought with the blood of Jesus Christ and the Lord has complete power and my soul belongs totally to Jesus. We've got to stand tough to ward off Satan's attacks. <P>The daily devotional was great for me today. I'll share a paragraph with you that ties into our war against Satan:<P>"The final response is the one we need to adopt when facing a threat from the enemy. Its FIGHT! If Satan has been chasing you, maybe it's time to turn around and start chasing him. If your car breaks down and<BR>you can't get to church, don't pout about it. Put some praise music on the stereo, get on your knees and pray through the time of the church service for souls to be saved. If you loose your job, while you're<BR>looking for a new one, volunteer your time to work around the church. In other words, when Satan throws something at you to keep you from advancing the kingdom, redouble your efforts for Christ." I'll echo her prayer - "Lord, fill me anew with your boldness as I face my adversary. Give me<BR>courage and strength and determination to win the battle. Amen" <BR>
