Chris,
Ok hon, hang in there. You will be ok and yes it is Satan attacking. We have found, the more we pray and feel good, the harder he attacks us. He's losing you to God and he doesn't like that one bit.
But you will make it!! I felt like just cashing it all in when Bob left. That's how depressed I got but thru the power of Prayer, I'm still here. And it's given me a closer relationship with God.
He will give you the answers, in His time. Just keep listening.
Prayers and big (((((HUGS)))))
Mitzi

Chrissie,
Use the spiritual warfare prayer early in the morning and again at night. I have found it really helps me. I just wrote back to AW about the importance of praise. When I feel so down I pull out the Bibile and turn to the Psalms. I try to find the ones that praise God the most. After praising God for a bit I feel better. Sometimes I imagine the cross being lowered into the whole so I can climb up onto it. Then it lifts me to the top of the pit, making a bridge for me to walk onto level ground again. Jesus is the bridge that helps us do that. Psalm 63 is a good one to begin with.
Lately I have been using the spiritual warfare prayer and then I wrote out parts of psalms that help me turn to God and then praise God. After I go through both of those I feel so much better, hardly remembering the pit. When I first started doing this I didn't feel as good as quickly, I had to work at it. Now that I do it daily it keeps me mostly on a level if not joyful plain. I pray you will seek Jesus and be restored to a more joyful place through Him. Depression really feels bad, but with some effort pointed at Jesus He will lift you up.
Father, I pray for Chrissie. Thank you for being near Chrissie. Lead her to the Psalms that will bring her closer to you. Let her seek you with all her mind, heart and soul. Refresh her in Your word and let her joy be complete in her praise of You. Amen.

The evil one is at it tonight! I had just about finished my post to you, and my computer spontaneously rebooted! Of course I lost everything I had written. Ok, I'll try again:
The spiritual warfare prayer is great. I pray it in the mornings and again on my way home from work. It seems like if I forget to pray it, my day is a mess, and/or H goes off the deep end. I'll be sure to pray for you Chrissie.
Dear Heavenly Father, I pray for Chrissie, lifting her up to you for comfort. Thank you Lord for all of your blessings. Please lift the depression she is in, give her back Your joy, wrap your arms around her, let her know how much you love her. Guide her decisions Lord, please speak to her heart, telling her what Your will is for her life. Thank you Lord, I praise Your Holy Name! IJN, AMEN
