Right now (12:00 CST) my H is at his first counseling session for the Batterer's Intervention Program. Please pray with me that this counselor will be lead by God, and the words he says are God's words to my husband.
Dear Heavenly Father, I lift up my husband David to you right now, asking that You would soften his heart even more, towards accepting You as his Savior, and towards me. Lord, thank you for working out the details to get him into counseling. I pray that you will use this session today to reach him. I pray the Holy Spirit is in that room right now, and overwhelmingly convicts my H of his sins. Let Your words be spoken to him through this counselor. I pray that this will all work to Your good, and will glorify you to the highest. Thank you Lord, for all you have done for us. In Jesus Name I pray, AMEN.

Rootbeer,
I just got on-line. I suppose by now your H's counseling session is over. Thats ok for I know God is still at work.
Lord, take whatever was said at David's counseling session and use it to reveal Yourself and Your will to him. Where there is confusion or distrust Father bring clarity and faith. If David feels angry or disinterested Lord cause him to see the importance and value of giving these sessions a fair chance. God, use these sessions to heal him from the discord and anger and addiction which is holding him hostage. Lord, deliver him for your glory.
IJN
Let us know what he has to say when you get the chance.
Blessings, Taj
------------------
"Perfect love casts out fear" I John 4:18

MTAW,
This is a very big step in the right direction. I'm so happy he is at least going!
Lord, now that D's session is over, give him time to reflect on You and Your will. Be with him as he might question the importance of these sessions. Lord, give him strength to continue counseling and be with him throughout each and every day, watching and guiding him. I pray for MTAW that she continue having FAITH in You as she shares with us her friends. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.
**Please let us know the progress...xoxo

By now your husband is back home and I hope all went well! Im happy that things are progessing in the right direction..
Dear Father in heaven, please make the Godly things of you that are related to David sink in deep and take root.. Let there be many seeds that sprout and give new life and hope to AW as she reeps the benifits of a husband who is growing toward you. Let AW have the peace to know that as it takes time to get into such a condition, it also will take time to heal... Help her to see her position as helpmate in this and all things to her husband... Bless this marriage and family in a miraculous way. In Jesus Name... AMEN
Let us know as soon as you can =)

------------------
Jesus is the only answer!
His blessings, Cozy

AW<
I hope things went well with your husband's counseling session. How often will he go, now that he has started? We should pray every week ahead of time that God would go before him and the counselor in that session. My husband goes to counseling. She is not a chritian but I still believe God can wotk in that room. I usually pray during the hour of his counseling, as I sure you were for David.
Father, We lift David up to you. Lord You know just how to touch David's heart with Your Spirit and work through his anger and those issues he must come to deal with. Lord be in that room this week and every room guiding the words of the counselor and the thoughts of David. Let, him continue to reflect upon those words. Let Your Spirit continue to soften David's heart throughout the week as goes through his day and especially as he gets ready to come home. Let David choose to come home and stay away from his friends. Let him choose to stop drinking and let him choose to come home to AW and his home nightly. Lord, give Aw insight and wisdom and grace as she interacts with David. Give her Your strength and hope that You are working and You will do the impossible. We praise You ahead of time for the answers to these prayers. Amen...

Thank you all so very, very much for your prayers today for David's counseling. He had to go back to work afterwards, and didn't get home until about 7 PM. He had one of his buddies from work over so I haven't been able to talk to him about it. It must not have been too bad for him because he wasn't too upset about it. Praise God! I have prayed so much lately for him, God must be sick of me pestering Him.
The only thing he did say was that he has to go back next Wed. at 6:30 PM (CST) for the "Legal" (?) part of it. I have no idea what this is. He doesn't know either, but I suspect it has something to do with this being court ordered counseling. I may just call the Women's Abuse Center and ask them myself what it is.
Now that he has finally started going to the counseling, I believe he will be going one evening every week for the next 6 months. The sessions last two hours. I think it is group therapy sessions. I'll let you all know the details the minute I find out. I am so hopeful that these sessions will help him understand his anger, and why he feels he needs to hurt me, emotionally and physically. From what I understand, they go over verbal and emotional abuse as well as physical.
Thank you all again! I'm praying for all of us again tonight. I need to spend some quiet time with God tonight, it's been a trying day.
Love and blessings to you all,
MTAW

Husband's counseling session that was to be tonight at 6:30 PM CST has been changed to tomorrow (Thurs.) night, same time. Would you pray with me at that time? I will be praying that the Lord use this session for His good and His glory, that His words would flow through the session leader, and speak directly to my husband's heart. I pray that there will be Christian men there to minister to my husband. And Praise to God for working all the details out according to His will.
Thanks y'all. I'm feeling much better today, our prayer time last night was such a blessing. I hope you all felt the blessings too.
Love and God's blessings to you,
MTAW
