MTAW,
Thanks for asking how I am. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Basically I'm doing good. My 1st hearing is Friday and I have to admit I'm a bit nervous and having some doubts. But I've prayed and prayed about it and realize that this is what I need to do. It's only a hearing to determine temporary support and visitation, plus who is going to be responsible for what temporarily. I haven't seen Bob in 2 months and haen't heard from him in 6 weeks. I do talk to his mom almost everyday and from her I learned that he hasn't worked since he was served with the divorce papers.
I'm going to be going to work soon. I have been offered a job working in a group home for developmentally disabled people. I majored in psychology in college so I think it's something I'll like. I was offered the job 3 months ago and put it off. Then there was an ad in the paper about the same company and my neighbor works for them and kept talking to my brother about it. I took this as an "in my face" sign that I should do it. It just seemed like everywhere I turned there was something telling me that this is what I need to be doing. And when the Lord keeps showing you something, you just can't ignore it! [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
I feel very strong that what I'm doing is right with the Lord. I still feel that the Lord is telling me to let Bob go for now so that he can do his work. I need to step out of the way and quit trying to fix things myself. I have prayed and prayed about it and feel very secure. I can't help Bob now. He doesn't want my help. He is completely in God's hands now and I trust Him to lead Bob down the right path. He may have given us free will but I also believe he can nudge us in the right direction.
Prayers to you all,
Mitzi

Mitzi. Good to hear from you. I miss you on the forum. I know you have taken a difficult step but I know you sought God's word on this. A friend helped me realize something last week. Sometimes God takes them away for a time because He doesn't want to return them to you until they are able to be Godly men. I also had a big lesson in trusting tonight. I left my id case on the xerox machine at school. When I realized it 30 minutes later it was no where to be found. So, I stopped and said to myself this is an opportunity to trust God. I got on the subway and decided that if there was no cll bt the time I got home saying someone had it then I would cancel the credit cards. I came in the house and asked the baby sitter to get off line so I could call and she said. Oh a woman called and she has your wallet. Here is her number. Praise the Lord. He is worthy to be praised and He can indeed be trusted. God is working in your life Mitzi just stay with Jesus and seek Him unconditionally during this stressful time. All else will fall in place according to His plan and remember He loves You and wants to give you only good things. God Bless and drop in and let us hear from you. We will all be praying for you and for Friday.
Father, touch Mitzi. Assure her that You are there with her and will be in that Court room on Friday. Lord, nothing is too big for You, and nothing is beyond Your grasp. Lord protect and guide Mitzi and cause her to seek You with all her heart and soul. We praise You for going ahead of her to the court room. We praise You that You are working together all things for Mitzi and her family's good. Thank You for your divine gifts. Let us treasure Your gifts more than any earthly treasure. Father thank You for Your Son. He saved us once and for all. Amen.

hw,
Thank you for the thoughts and prayers.
I do feel the same way about God taking them until His work is done. I know He doesn't want me to be in a marriage to the "bad Bob". But it is possible for Him to transform him into a "good Bob". I'm just praying about it a lot and seeing what answers I receive.
I'm glad your wallet was returned. It restores my faith that there are still honest people in this world. Sometimes I do question that.
I can feel myself getting more nervous and anxious. I know that God will be with me in the courtroom and that things will go according to His will.
I will post and let everyone know how it goes.
Prayers,
Mitzi

hw,
The hearing is at either 2 or 3pm (EST). Bob set one up for 2pm and my attorney set one up for 3pm. So, I have to call my attorney tomorrow and ask which one I'm supposed to show up for.
As soon as I find out for sure, I'll post it. You all don't know how much I appreciate the prayers. They really do help!
Prayers,
Mitzi
