I want to share the Terri Main devotional I got today in my email. God's perfect timing again......
"Lo, I am with you alway even unto the end of the Earth." Matthew 28. 20
I once wrote a Bible Study series about the names of God. Each week, I gloried in each of these names. He appeared as El Shaddai, the almighty God who has everything that we need. He stretched forth his hand to save, deliver and heal as Jehovah Shua and Jehovah Rophe. He led us into battle as Jehovah Nisse, and brought us to peace as Jehovah Shalom. All of these indicated wonderful aspects of God's nature, but I think the most
wonderful name of all that I studied was Jehovah Shammah - I AM THERE!
One time my mother was encouraging a woman who was going through a trial and said, "Remember, dear, God is still on the throne." With wonderful honesty the woman replied, "Well, I'd like him to get off that throne and get to work!"
Jehovah Shammah is the name which tells us that God isn't just a distant
"sky god" sitting on the throne of heaven all powerful, but uninterested in
the affairs of his mortal creations. No, indeed, it tells us that wherever
we are at a given moment in time he is there waiting for us.
Like most everyone, I've travelled some difficult roads during my lifetime.
I was sharing with someone about this once and the person asked, "With
everything you were going through back then, didn't you ever start to
lose faith and decide that God wasn't real after all."
It was one of those moments of revelation for me. I looked over my past in
an instant and saw that in every trial rather than being pushed away from my
heavenly father I was drawn toward him. During every difficulty, the only
thing I could depend on was Him. When everything else failed, when I could
trust noone else, not even myself, when I felt I could handle no more, I
felt the truth of Jehovah Shammah.
One of the great truths of scripture is that wherever we go and whatever we
do God is there. Even when we go astray he is there coaxing us back to
himself, reproving us, disciplining us, but always loving us. When we face
the worst that life has to offer, Jehovah Shammah tells us that we don't
have to face it alone.
So know this name. Shout it back at the enemy when he attacks. Comfort yourself and others with it. When the bills pile up and the money isn't there to pay them, Jehovah Shammah! When your spouse leaves you and the loneliness surrounds like a fog, Jehovah Shammah! When affliction lays you down in bed and the pain is so intense you think you will die, Jehovah Shammah! When you weep silently in the midnight hour over things you cannot tell your family or friends, Jehovah Shammah! And when the final hour of this life comes, and the darkness of death closes in around you, look for
the light because in just a little while you will stand face to face with Jehovah Shammah, The Lord who is there.
Lord, thank you for being there for me no matter where I am led. Amen
Thank You Jesus!

Thank you for that beautiful devotional! How are you doing today, AW? You have a very interesting life. Any news on the legal front or move-away/run-away front? Looking forward to prayer time tonight even though I will be a few hours behind as usual.

I'm much better. I am focusing my mind on other things, and doing my best to stay out of God's way, and be quiet and listen for Him to tell me what He wants me to do. So, in the meantime, I am following the quote "if in doubt, do nothing".
I talked with my prayer partner and we are going to pray together this afternoon that God's will is done, for strength and His guidance.
I posted an update on my other thread "he's leaving" about the court stuff, etc. I'm looking forward to prayer time tonight too, I think I need to get more focused on the Lord. Thank you for checking on me. I hope your day is better today too.
