This is my first time here. I am a christian woman married to a "christian" husband who is having an affair with a "christian" in our church. He denies it but I know it to be a fact. We are all very active in different ministries and the impact of all this is overwhelming. I want to blow her cover but I know that isn't the right thing to do. I have been praying for all of us including her husband. I don't know how much I can take. I have no human I can talk to about this and I am going nuts. Pray for me. For them. and for our church. Satan is truely at work!!!
bjb
I know how devastating this is for you! I think it must even be harder since all are Christian and you have certain expectations. I understand about now wanting to expose them. But how about taking one Christian friend you can trust and going to speak with this woman. Telling her you don't want to tell her husband or the church, but that it is not all right. Dan Allendar, is a Christian writer. One of his books is called "Bold Love". There is a christian way to go about this. If your husband is denying, and you are sure, then I think they do need to be confronted. It is not an easy thing to do. And honestly I don't know if I could, but I also have become more bold through my odeal. Not to blow up and make a spectacle of yourself, but to confront it boldly, but with love. Pray of course and ask God to guide you. Jesus would not let it continue, but He would approach them with love. Then there is talking to your husband. If you have evidence then present him with that. Pray, Pray and pray some more. God is trying to reach you also. Seek, him with all your heart in what to do. Do not act until you feel peace with him. One other thing there is an oldtimer from the general infidelity forum. She pops in once in a while. You might address a post to her. she went through a similar situation, and their marriage has been restored also. She was always full of wisdom and empathy. She went by HGBrawner. Post on the general infidelity attention to her. Maybe she would answer and have some words of ensouragement for you.
Father, I lift bjb up into your arms. She is anguishing as you are over this ordeal. Lord, build her faith in You. Let her know in a powerful way that You are there and have everything in Your hands. Lord touch her husband and this ow and convict them. Confound and expose the ow and pull them all out of their pits and return them to their Savior, Jesus Christ. Lord, only you can make the difference. Thank You Jesus, for Your saving grace, Amen.
bjb I hope you will join us for prayer on Tuesdays and you might want to join our Bible study. We are about to begin the book along with the study guide together. I believe how ir will work is we read the chapters and do the guide and then post our thoughts here. It is exciting and comforting. The ladies on this forum have all been where you are and God has grown them tremendously. This forum are encouraging and supportive. We all pray for one another and care very much. This has been such a blessing for me. I hope you will join us and we will certainly keep you in our prayers. One more thing reading and praying the Psalms is such an encouraging place to be during this time. The Psalms have really gotten me through this.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You Lord, for allowing us the opportunity to pray together, in agreement for the restoration of bjb's marriage. We praise You Lord, for reuniting this couple, and removing the adultery from their lives, replacing it with an devoted, happy marriage. Lord, please give bjb Your strength during this trial, help her Father to lean on You for all things, and to turn it all over to You. Show her Father the path you wish her to take. Lord, I pray that bjb's husband will be so convicted of his behavior by the Holy Spirit that he cannot escape it, no matter what he does, or where he turns. Lord, I pray that the OW in this situation is confounded and exposed. Lord, turn her heart and mind away from bjb's husband, and towards You and her husband. Convict her of her sins, bringing her to her knees before You in repentance. Thank You Lord, we Praise You Lord, for you are the Almighty, the king of all kings, Lord of all lords. IJN I pray, AMEN

Thank you for your support. I feel so much better just because I could finally "talk" with someone. It has been so isolating..... feeling alone. I will try to join you all for prayer on Tuesday but getting to the computer can sometime be difficult. I am praying about approaching the OW. Right now I am too angry. I need to wait a little and as you all continue to pray perhaps she will be convicted. She has two small children. I don't want any more people hurt than necessary. Pray pray pray!!!!!

bjb,
I agree with you. Pray and wait until God makes clear to you.
I remember the isolation. We were in a situation that if it was found out it could really have been a problem. So, I had to be extremely careful who I told. It has been a long hard road for 5+ years. I remember when my husband moved out in Sept, I had to finally realize that God maybe had to allow hy h to have time with the ow to see that she was not his salvation. She always whispered come with me and when you are away from the wife, all your problems will disappear. Well, at Christmas after she had visited for the longest time they had ever spent together (3 weeks) they decided they were not ready to move in with one another. They have never spoken about it since. Now up until a week ago they were talking and seeing each other once a month. While he was away visiting his mother with our youngest daughter he had no contact. When he got back he told me he didn't want to talk to her, I don't know if that has happened. But we have a date tomorrow and I plan that we will have fun!
bjb, things can turn around. God knows what he is doing even when we can't see the work. A pastor once told me that it's like hitting a hammer to a boulder. For years you may not see anything but one day the whole thing will break out. I've been looking for those cracks. Finally some chips have started falling. We'll just have to see where God leads this.
Trust God and praise Him even if you must do it through the Spirit. God loves you and He is working a miracle in your life too. You may just not be able to see it yet.
For me God has convicted me over and over to seek Him. He has chipped all pieces of control over this away from me. Sometimes it meant wrestling it from me. But He always won, Thank goodness. Letting go has been the hardest thing I ever did but the sweetest in hindsight.
God is awesome.
Glad you will join us for prayer.
