I know I don't post very much but be assured I do read and pray a lot!!
I've been reading thru a lot of the bible and trying to learn more and I wanted to share something from Proverbs. In Proverbs 5 and 7 the immoral and adulterous woman is discussed. About how men should stay away from these type of women and the consequences of not doing so.
My H is living with an immoral woman and of course he himself is sinning. It talks about losing your honor and pretty much everything you have. Then how disease will consume your body.
I've been noticing things that have been happening to my H and how it fits so well with this. First, he has no money. He is broke all the time. He wants to buy a car but can't get a loan. He was laid off from his job this week. He had to quit the job he had before. He is having a hard time filing for unemployment, he needed to go to the unemployment office and was going to use his mothers car but the battery was dead in it. So many things that aren't too normal.
I have to see this as God making life as difficult for Bob as possible. It's just too coincidental. It's also what I've been praying for. That God would make his path in life difficult so that Bob will hit bottom. That he will have no choice but to ask for forgiveness and repent.
It's taken 4 months for things to start happening but I slowly see little things that are making his life hard. Meanwhile I'm just watching and waiting.
All Praises to God,
Mitzi ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
These verses seemed to say it all: Proverbs 6:26 "For a prostitute will bring you to poverty, and sleeping with another man's wife may cost you your very life." and 6:32 "But the man who commits adultery is an utter fool, for he destroys his own soul." AMEN
Sounds like Bob's fantasy life isn't so wonderful, huh. He's headed for the bottom, Mitzi. As long as they live to drink, that is the only direction they can go, towards the bottom.
When my H was deep into his affair, his health suffered too. He had 3 TIA's, (mini strokes) and globs of his hair fell out, plus he had an inexplainable rash that came and went and itched terribly. He has always had thick, healthy hair. He does again now.
We've been praying for the Holy Spirit to place conviction upon their souls, and the Lord to speak to their hearts. Sounds like Bob is being led to the path of brokenness. Hallelujiah! I'm still praying with you Mitzi, but had mostly been praying for you and your children. The Lord's will be done in Bob's life.
[This message has been edited by Alcoholic's Wife (edited April 29, 2000).]
[This message has been edited by Alcoholic's Wife (edited April 29, 2000).]

Hi Rootbeer!
I've been keeping up with what's been going on with David and his job. You have gotten so much good advice! And I am praying in agreement with you.
I do believe Bob is headed to the bottom. But I'm not too sure about me and him and our life together. I know when I filed for divorce it was what God wanted. I feel so secure in that. But I'm still unsure about what He wants as far as a relationship between Bob and I. I'm still waiting for that answer. I do know that I still love him and I believe in the covenant marriage. But I also know that God doesn't want His children to be hurt. So for now, I'm waiting and letting God do what He can with Bob. I had almost stopped praying for Bob but I noticed that I felt horrible. I was nervous and upset most of the time. I also obsessed about Bob and the OW together. When I started praying for him again, I felt calmer and more at peace. So, that's what I do, with really no expectations from Bob. The only expectations I have are from God above. He will take care of me and my children. And He will do His will with Bob and in His time.
God Bless,
Mitzi ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)

My husband still lives with the ow and it seems at this time they have all the money in the world, he just bought her a new car and to my understanding they are looking to rent a home, they had just moved to a new apt about 4 months ago. Maybe they aren't happy in their new home, well they won't be happy in the next one either. Neither of them will be truly happy without God. I was reading in the bible the other day and my Grandson closed the bible when I had got up for a minute, Maybe someone can help me find it. I was reading about the adultress woman it was in easy understanding but how she played people to get what she wanted much of how she did me, she pretended to be my friend offered to help me do things and etc. and then took my husband. If anyone knows what script I'm talking about I would love some help.
Carol

Carol,
Do you remember if it was in the Old or New Testament? I found something similar in Revelations 2:20. It's about what God can do to the adulterous woman. Then Proverb 5,6 and 7. Let us know if this isn't what you are looking for.
Prayers,
Mitzi ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
