I have been reading the book Power of A Praying Wife and I have been praying faithfully, but what if your husband is not a believer. Will it still work. I know my husband believes in God but he has nothing to do with church at all. I know that there is evil all around him and he can't see it because he doesn't know how it's supposed to be. The music he listens to, the drinking, his friends, etc. Everything is dragging him down. Please help me pray for him and for myself to be the person that I need to be. I love this man dearly and do not want a divorce, I have faith that God will work wonders but I don't think it ever hurts to have too much prayer.

Heartbroken1, Yes, yes, yes! Praying for your unbelieving husband always helps. My husband is not a believer. Since I have been praying the prayers in POPW, the Lord has answered many in ways I never thought possible. Like your H, my H will say that he believes there is a God, but church and worshipping God is "not for him". I have been praying for softening of his heart, and the Lord has been answering. For example, we have been together almost 18 years. During this time he had only been church once, when our son was baptized. Since I have been praying for him, he has been to church with me three times!
So, don't give up, pray without ceasing! Don't tell your H you're praying for him though. Let him be "won without a word". I know it is a hard, hard situation to be in, married to an unbeliever. The Lord will carry you though this trial. Remember, pray without ceasing.....
God bless,
AW

Neither is mine. Still have made a lot of progress through prayer and good example. Not to mention miracles.

heartbroken1,
praying for your husband even if he is not a Christian is even more important. God works through our prayers and our praises. He has a much better chance coming to Christ if we pray rather than we don't/ I believe that Stormie addresses the issue as well, encouraging those whose husbands are not Christainas to pray the same prayers also. We will continue to pray for your h and all the other men represented by their wives here.
