It is so hard trying to work on a marriage all by yourself. My husband said he did'nt care whether our marriage worked or not. I told him I am praying for God to restore our marriage, and he says he prays but not for our marriage. I understand he is hurting and anger. I also understand it's my fault, and I know things won't get better over night, but how can I work and save this marriage if he does'nt want to. I pray and Pray and pray and pray, and just feel hopeless and so alone. I am hurting too. I am so sorry way can't he forgive me.
Dear Vanessa,
It is okay that he isn't praying for the marriage at this point. You can do that part for him. If he is faithful and can even do so little as to just pray for himself, the right way, for the right reasons then he is lightyears ahead of my H.
Remember that the first chapter of our book is about praying for ourselves! That we become a better wife, a better person, closer to God. At least he is spending time with God.
Keep up your end of things, Vanessa. This is not a sprint. It is a lifetime.
Love,
Karenna
