Hi all,
I need some advice on what to do for H birhday. I am trying to plan A. My H as you may recall is in denial that he is doing anything other than having a friendship. We have fought, he is very withdrawn from me, but when i don't confront him we can have pleasant times together. For the past several years I have taken him to a bed and breakfast for his birthday. Should I even try that this year? I think it might be nice to have some time in a pleasant setting, but will he just get mad or think I am pushing. If I don't do it will he notice that I am not doing something that we have done in the past? I just don't know. I hate to go and have him act angry and distant the whole time, but I would love to have some time with him too. What are your opinions? Thanks ,Lora

Hi Lora,
My suggestion is to do what feels right to you. If YOU really want to go to the B&B, then suggest it to him and ask him for his opinion before making the plans.
I was stuck in the same dilemma last October (my it feels like a lifetime ago!), and since I stll have feelings for H, I decided to get him some gifts and card. He was moved out at the time, so I invited him over for dinner, then gave him his gifts a couple of days prior to his birthday. I was very surprised on the day of his birthday to have him arrive at the house unannounced. He would not say so, but he wanted to celebrate his birthday with me.
Let us know how it turns out.
