i did it.......i went to an alonan meeting tonight. (support for people affected by others drinking)<BR>encountered a warm group of people, held hands and said the Lord's prayer. listened<BR>and got some materials to read. I will go back.

God grant me the serenity to change the things I can, Accept the things I can't and the wisdom to know the difference!<P>Good job Carole! I spent many years in ACOA. Adult Children of Alcoholics and it was very supportive. I learned a lot about me during that time. No alcohol abuse in my family but my mom was addicted to legal pain Rx's. My brother ended up an alcohoic/addict using cocaine as his drug of choice. He has been clean and sober for 6 years now.<P>Father, thank you for walking with Carole to this meeting and for providing postive support for her while there, and for the encouragement to go back again. We thank you for how you will use this tool of support in her life and in her marriage. IJN, Amen.
