Pookie, thank you so much for asking! I haven't been online much lately because I've been spending the evenings with my H and then I have been sick all this week. I've still been praying for all of you though!<P>David is home, he got back August 21st. Since he has been home I have seen a softening of his heart,towards the Lord and me. He is still drinking, but I'm still praying about that!<P>I praise God for what he is doing in our lives, and thank Him from the bottom of my heart for keeping that small voice talking in the back of my heart saying "don't give up, don't worry about what others are saying, I am in control and I will save you and your household". God is working, I have seen evidence of his hand in my marriage a lot lately, and in David. I know that the Holy Spirit is right there with him every day, instilling His word in David's heart. There will be a day soon when he can no longer resist the calling upon his heart by the Holy Spirit.<P>God again put me in awe with what He is doing a couple weekends ago. David was talking to our son and one of his friends out in the barn. The other kid made some snide remark and David told him "kid, I thought you went to Sunday school. Don't they teach you the real thing there? You've got to believe in the good Lord kid, and He will take care of you. You've got to do what the good book says, kid". After the boy went home, my husband told our son that he (son) needed to go to church with me. And he told him "I'm not no bible thumper but son if you do anything in this life you've got to believe in the Lord. I believe, and son, you've got to be a believer". WOW! I have been praising God day and nite since. And, one thing I have been doing is praying the Word over him every day. <P>I don't know if he will have to work out of town again or not. I sure hope not! The job in CA that he was on is finished. I pray he gets to stay home!!!!! Sure has been nice to have him home!<P>

Wow! That is so fantastic Rootbeer! God is so great!<P>Baby steps here too this week, which is a real blessing over the past two weeks. <P>Have missed you much but am grateful that things are softening at your house.

Oh, Rootbeer, so happy to hear the good news. I'ts amazing about David talking to another child about the Lord. That is #1! God is certainly working on your marriage and his heart. I applaud you for your patience, strength and belief in God. You are a great example, the one who always supported me when I needed it. I continue to pray for you and our sisters. We will all have blessed marriages, the way the Lord wants them.<P>Praise the Lord.<P>Now, please feel free to stay away from MB - spending time w/ David, God and your son is priority here. Rootbeer,<P>Talk about a window into someones soul, I'd say that pretty much reflects where David is. We can only reflect what has been revealed to us from God but David believes and that is where we all start.<P>I miss you too my friend but I know how hard it is to focus completely on your marriage and spend as much time here as you and I use to. This forum has a season in our lives and all of us know when its winding down.<P>Lord, bless my friend Rootbeer and her marriage and her family. May You continue to reveal truth to David. May You free him from the bondage to indulgences that would harm him. As this godly women prays Your word over her husband may its power and truth permeate his life.
