Well I'm new to the forum, but I'm a wife of a licensed preacher, who works full-time, has summer business of cutting vacant lots in the city, a student in college, and occasionally goes out of town with our pastor. We have four children, one in college (20), one who lives in Florida, and the other two at home. Plus 2 nephews. Well our son is playing football for his high school so we all go to his games on Fridays. This activity is usually a family outing. We all go to Bible Study, Church school and worship services. All sing in the church's various choirs. So pretty much we're christian family. My problem is that my husband does not make time for us. I 've talked to him on numerous occasions. He just says he doesn't have time for himself. But when we're all home, he's watching football, wrestling, boxing and/or playing Chess with our son, and 2 nephews. I just look at him and go up to our room and watch TV. If I happen to sit in the livingroom and watch TV, he'll go to the basement and play with the playstation with the boys. I'm still asking what about time for us. Again, he does not have time for himself. Or better he'll suggest something, but it's do I want to go with them somewhere. Is he afraid to be alone with me? Or does he not have an interest in me anymore? Feedback please. jonice1

Welcome to the forum! Don't know how much looking around you have done, whether you have read through the basic concepts of Harley's or not. It does sound as though your plates are full.<P>Any chance of prioritizing some of it and putting some things on hold for a bit? Sounds like you are all tuckered out. <P>My father bring your wisdom to light in this matter. Give jonice your insight into how to break through the barriers of busyness so that this family can connect in an intimate way, truly caring about one another. Help them to identify each others needs and then show each other ways to meet those needs in light of the obligations this family has. <P>Pour your blessing on them and draw them to you and to each other, IJN, Amen.

Welcome Jonice,<P>"Time is on my side, yes it is", or so the song goes. I beg to differ.......<P>Time is pulling us in all directions. You probably find yourself stretched for time as well as expecting others to have more time for you.<P>Another deception in this world, that there is plenty of time. Using time wisely, now that is the real dilema.<P>Family is to be a priority and yet the "lesser loyaltys" seem to rob us all of what is truly important. We all face the challenge daily of putting in perspective what is God's best for us in terms of time.<P>We take for granted many things, family seems to be the first thing that we count on as always being there. Your husband may need a new vision of what is most important. I've always heard the list goes:<BR>God.....Family......Career. I can see how a Pastor would get confused since God/Career could be seen as one in the same.<P>Maybe he needs a gentle reminder.<P>Lord, reveal your timing to this family. Show them how you see things. Help this wife to gently share her concerns and restore perfect timing to their relationship. There is a way that seems right to man......What is your way Oh Holy Father. We ask for a speedy resolution to this problem before the deceiver can cause any more question and hurt. IJN<P>------------------<BR>"Perfect love casts out fear" I John 4:18
