Father, we come to you the day after the day we remember the birth of Your son, Jesus. Lord He was born to die. He was wrapped in swaddling clothes. Swaddling clothes was the cloth one carried on them on a long journey in case someone died. They dead were then wrapped in this cloth before they were buried. In this cloth, Jesus was wrapped upon His birth.
Lord, how great a gift, I fear we do not even begin to fathom. Lord all through the story of the events leading up to Jesus birth, the angels say over and over again "Do not fear." Lord let us not fear our circumstances, let us not fear the ow and others that seek to bring us down. Let us not fear the enemy. Lord, let us fear not all these things, but instead rest in Jesus and remember that His birth/death freed us from our humananness. Lord, we could not come to You on our own, so You came to us.
Lord we praise You as Mary did. That You have loved us so much. That You have recognized us in our sinfulness amd loved us still. Lord we deserve this great gift not. Lord we deserve hell, but You have brought us heaven. Lord we praise You and lift Your name to the heavens, singing great praises to Your name. The majesty and the glory that You display. The great love and mercy You give us. The grace through which we receive forgiveness. The comfort and hope You bring in our brokenness. The great beauty of Your creation. Father, we give all glory and praise to You.
Father teach us to serve You in the following New Year. Lord let us seek You with even great diligence and devotion. Let us read and study Your word. Let us come to know You in new ways as You guide, love and grow us this year. Lord, help us to have greater hope and faith in You that You are sovereign. That You are still working in ways that we can not see. That you are working in ways that are beyond our imagination, and in ways that are changing and drawing us closer to You. Father we need You. Lord, Jesus is all we need. Let us learn to live this. Lord change us to be more like Jesus each day.
Father touch our spouces. Lord let them not stay where they are. Lord lead them in Your ways and lead them back to the path that You have chosen. Lord let those that do not know Jesus recieve Him as their Saviors. Lord, let those that have walked away be restored in Jesus this day. Let those that are angry receive His love and let their anger dissapate. Lord those that are deep in sin, reveal to them Your ways and love, and let them be convicted and come home to Jesus.
Lord, let there be no peace in any relationship outside their covenant relationship with their spouces and Yourself. Lord bring them to Jesus this day. They need You more than they know. Because we know that You do not give up on them, Lord, give us the staying power not to give up on them either.
Lord there are still so many that are discouraged. Lord, bring Your Spirit upon them and leave them with the love of Jesus in their hearts. Lord, let Your word penetrate deep in their hearts and work Your will in them. Let them seek You with all thier hearts. Lord love them and let them feel Your love wrapping around them.
Lord there are many that are married to spouces that are abusive. Lord help them to have the courage to listen to you and escape from all abuse. Lord that does not mean divorce but rather taking themselves out of a situation that is harmful to them and then leaving the rest to You.
Father for those that are with other women, let there be no peace in such situations. Fill these relationships full of strife and unhappiness. Lift the fog from their eyes and let them see Jesus. Lord, let them no longer seek their own happiness, but rather the happiness of their spouses and children. Lord give them dreams that instruct them in the way to go. Lord, let the other women be convicted and leave these betraying men and seek the husbands that You have already prepared for them. Lord bring them to Jesus.
Lord protect the children. Lord protect them from the harm of divorce. Let them be spared this devastating act. Lord let the parent that knows You have the greater influence. Lord protect them.
Lord, provide for those that are needy. Provide them with food, clothing, shelter and lots of love. Lord let us all give to Your purposes and be good stewarts of the resources You give us.
Lord, we ask that You bring all our loved ones that do not know Jesus as their Lord, and Savior be brought to Jesus. Give them life in Jesus this day.
Father, touch each of us. Lord help us to support each other with Your word, and the love of Christ. Lord let us reach out to others that we meet, with Your love. Lord let us forgive the unforgiveable, let us believe the unbelievable and receive the inconceivable this day and each day throughout the coming year.
Lord let us come on bended knee into Your presence daily. Let us seek Your word and will for us. Lord, help us to thirst for knowledge of You more than anything else. Lord, change us Lord, lead us down the path and become more like Jesus. Lord fill us with such a longing for You. Let that be allwe want and let it be enough. In Jesus name I lift every sister here. Lord, show them the great love You ahve for them. In Jesus name, Amen.
