sorry, haven't been around much lately.
having a difficult time finding time to visit here lately.
after my surgery right after christmas, my H seemed to improve for a bit, he started sleeping in our room again and seemed to be acting like less of a jerk.
Now we have a whole set of new problems...
our 9 year old son has been suffering from extreemly severe headaches. He has been to two different eye doctors and they both say his eyes are perfectly fine. ie, not the cause of his headaches. this comming tuesday we will undergo a catscan, (a scarry thing to a 9 year old, (and his mom)).
our fear is a possible brain tumor, I have told my H what has been happening and he just seems detatched and could care less. I am hoping this is just his coping technique because he is as just as fearful as I am on the outcome, maybee?
well anyway, with all this worry and stress, earlier this week when he started pussing my buttons, well i reacted this time, i have been doing so well not reacting to him. Well I did a doosey and now he is on the couch again. I have appologized because i was way out of line, but he won't even barely talk to me now, (needless to say, he was just out of line as I was.)
so anyone out there who feels the inclination
please pray for us, especially David, my son.
The only thing that has been keeping me going is my faith in God, what would i do without that?
the last couple weeks in my biblestudy we have been studying the names of God:
El Elyon - God most high
in this i now have a greater understanding that God is in control over EVERYTHING good and bad and that he can and will eventually work all things together for good.
El Roi - God who sees
and in this it helps me to remember that God sees all that is going on so i don't need to. he sees the whole picture while i only see a small portion. know this helps me to trust him even more.
Thanks,
------------------
Irene

Scared and lonely,
Sounds like a challenging time for you, but also that you are seeing God's sustaining power.
I know at 12 my daughter started getting migraines that do run in the family, but they were so violent that she had a catscan which something didn't look right and then a MRI. Luckily it was nothing.
We all loose it sometimes but it is harder when one in the relationship exerts control by not participating, or refusing to forgive, until they want something.
So I will keep you and your family in prayer this week.
Father, I lift up Irene and her son into Your arms. Lord guard them from all anxiety, keep them focused on the fact that Your hand is still there underneath them. Lord heal this boy and I pray that the catscan will show nothing. Lord You know the truth and Your love is never ending and unconditional. Lord use this to touch this man and let him acknowledge how much he needs You. Let him see Your saving hand in this all.
Lord give irene, this mom, your child, Your love and blessing in a powerful way. Calm her fears and draw her closer to You. Lord show her that You are right there beside her and that You will alwys be there.
In Jesus name we ask Your healing of a child, Your saving of a husband, the restoration of a marriage in Your image, and peace for a mother. In Jesus name, Amen.
Another thought I just had. Sometimes people somatize their fears and anxiety. Meaning Your son could be having an emotional reaction to what is going on and it is showing up as headaches. This is not unheard of. In fact, I had a patient earlier this year who came in because he had had a headache for 7 years+ and they could never find any physical cause. He was depressed, and after he finaly started to take medication and get therapy he is slowly improving.

I will keep you in prayer.
Hi Scared,
I have had migranes since I was a small child. I can get cluster to down right such pain that I can not even see. Mine have always been caused by allergies. You might also want to take your child to an allergist. The best time in my life was when I was on maintenance shots for my allergies. I did not get any headaches nor did I have to go to the hospital for asthma atacks.
It has been proven that a lot of headaches are allergy related. As far as your H is concerned he is just taking out his anger and concern on you. It is not fair. Try not to beat yourself up. Let him know you are sorry but also let him know what he did was wrong.
Dear God please lift of Scared. She is very stressed and concerned for her child. Please help the doctors find what is causing the headaches and heal him.
Also God please lift Scared up to help combat the LBs she has shown her H. Help her H understand his hard heart and soften it. Heal the son and the marriage.
