Dear Members,
I beg you to please pray for me. I have been praying and I have also asked the entire congregation of my church to pray for me, but I feel like I'm loosing faith.
You see I've been married for seven months and already my marriage is in trouble to the point where I even question if my husband married me for the wrong reasons, do I even love my husband based on his lies, (please read feeling lost and need help in the just found out section of the forum).
Because of his lies, I feel very angry and not inspired to be a good wife. I find myself searching through his things for answers, and doing things to hurt him and I know it doesn't help. I threaten divorce, however, I recognise the committment I made to God and his laws regarding divorce.
Please pray that the truth will be revealed, that I may find the power to forgive my husband, just as Christ has forgiven us our sins and that my marriage will flourish and be as God intended it to be.
I don't know where to go from here. I guess I need to develop a better relationship with God, but how? I do go to church regularly and pray (although you can never do too much of both). I've read enough self help and christian books to last a lifetime! I'm so tired of trying, but I don't want to give up unless I know for sure I'm beating a dead horse. I guess I'm looking for a sign from God regarding my husband and our marriage!
Please pray for me and someone respond.
Thanks....

There is a world of difference between a telephone and internet relationship and a real person to person relationship. I have no doubt that YOU (Lewi) felt close. But now you know for a fact that you did not know him at all. No kidding. Are you the only one who is surprised?
Even a person with profound visual impairment knows the difference between getting to know someone close enough to be with and getting to know someone by telephone, internet and letters. There is no accountability on the long distance one.
There is another difference in having a long distance relationship with a good friend or mate that you built a relationship with over a long period of time, at close range, and a stranger you met over the internet.
But that is all water under the bridge, bolstering the claim of fraud that would let you get an annullment instead of divorce.
Divorce. Why not? He lied. He is adulterous. The only thing you are missing is the DNA evidence and confession. You have biblical grounds to put him away.
All I can suggest is set aside all your hopes, dreams, expectations and fantasies. Pray to God to know what His mission for you is. Empty yourself to God and discover what this means.
I am praying for you also, Lewi.
Best wishes!

Karenna,
Thanks for responding and I will truly take your advice into consideration. I also appreciate your prayers. I guess it would be easier for me if I had some concrete evidence. I was raised and educated that you don't get married to get a divorce. For better or worse and I guess my discoveries are the worse part. What's scary is that there are no guarantees that he wont do something again, but the Bible teaches us to give unconditional love and forgive, like he has forgiven us. It's really hard, but necessary.
Please continue to pray for me.
Thanks and God-bless

You can "forgive" him without letting him back in your bed. God forbid he gives you herpes, hepatitis or worse.

Lewi, it seems that your husband is in oppression by the enemy. My only advice to you is to pray and fast for the Lord to give you direction and wisdom to do what is according to His will for your life. Put Him first in all things, let the Lord convict your husband of his sins. Pray Luke 8:17 over your husband "For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light."

quote:
I'm afraid I may have married a man who has the talent to deceive and manipulate.

I think you may be right. Let the Lord lead you, though, He may lead you to pray for binding and loosing in your husband's life. Again, let the Lord lead you Lewi.

Lord, your child Lewi needs You so much right now, please guide and cover her with the blood of Jesus. Lord, in Jesus name, I ask for a hedge of thorns to be placed around Lewi and her husband, to keep the enemy at bay. Help Lewi dear Lord to put on the full armor of God, do this battle with the enemy for her.
Father, I pray that as Lewi therefore has received Christ Jesus the Lord, she will so walk in Him (Colossians 2:6). Help her Lord to put ALL her faith and trust in You. Lord, I pray that You will give her the answers to her prayers. Lord, we know that You never want your children to be hurt, but allow us to make choices. Father, I pray that You will guide Lewi in all her thoughts, words and actions. Help her Father, to live according to Your will. Lord, I pray also for her husband's salvation and deliverance from the evil that is oppressing him. Lord, I pray that You will soften his heart towards the things of God and prepare his heart. In Jesus name I pray, AMEN
