I had just typed a whole message and it got lost... it said I wasn't logged in, but I was when I started typing, oh well I'll try again.
Have you all finished discussing "Power of a Praying Wife?" because I am just starting it.
I got a new book the other day "Because I Said Forever". I am finding it very helpful and thought-provoking. Anyone else read it?

Bgentle,
This forum has always been open to discussing the book "POPW" at any point anyone so desires. We have had ongoing discussions and they always seem to be fresh and relevant. I myself have read the book 4 times and every time I pick it up it is meaningful and has something new for me to ponder.
In the past a new member has but to begin wherever they want and just make comments or ask questions and others will just jump in. So, I encourage you to just begin posting and allow God to use you and others to minister his insight into what it means to be a praying wife.
Thanks for showing interest and I know God will bless again through this powerful book.
Blessings,
Taj

I saw this book the other day and will now pick it up as I see you are getting positive results. My H has moved out and was seeing someone, he now claims he wants a D, but is now just friends or has broke it off with the first person the affair was with. he claims I ruined our marriage through being mean and a terrible wife. This is so untrue. My husband is an alcoholic, I have been practicing tough love for some time now, and our lives have gotten way better.... but I guess he didn't like my tough approach.... I love him so much, we have known each other 17 yrs, and bn married for 10 with 2 sons. It is a horrible time right now for me and the boys... but he is just in crzy lala land thinking I have been the cause of everything. Please pray fpr us,. I am hoping we can restore our marriage.

The author of "Because I Said Forever" was married to an alcoholic, so you may find it even more helpful than I did! But her stuff is written generally enough to apply to any troubled marriage.

HI, I just did a search on my posts and came back to this thread- I would still like to study this book and trade feedback if anyone is interezted... I guess I got really caught up in the problems and did not ck back... I have been posting in other areas, divorcing... that has been a big threat of my H's , and emotional needs, and questions ii in the infidelity area. I am so hurt lately. .. things got better as I prayed and plan a'ed... well now they are all over the place again , as my spouse has had some contact with HER! AGGGHHHH! I want to be his one and only. WEll, i have to stop lbing. I get really mad and resentful and angry when he starts to tell me how he can't get her out of his head. I need to pray for him. It worked before, and I would like to pray fro him again... I have misplaced my book, as I started thinking I could Do the right thing to fix things...
I treated him kindly ... meet his en's and even gave him a big en, sex... I do not feel comfortable with this en right now with him anymore. I think this will be a good move on my part, as he is really hurting me in that area. I know it is a strong need of his, and do not want him to turn somewhere else... but I can't be the unloved sex supply.. or just the one he loves, but can't commit too, since he has other women on his mind... or another woman.
Lord, please help me in this time of trial. I deeply love my husband, so much tells me to let him go, as do so many people who care about me. He has done so much to hurt me, and he is lying to me so much. I feel I deserve a better relationship with a spouse. I need more than this Lord. Teach me Lord and show me how to have this in my life, if not with my husband, help me to grow and to have love again , love that with committment lasts 4ever. I am feeling so hurt right now lord. I am so betryed by my H. He really feels I destroyed our relationship. I agree I helped... but he is pushing it right now... help us lord... I am truly sorry for the ways in which I have pushed him away. help him to be a devoted and faithful loving husbnad and father. Amen.

Please pary for my strength at this time, to hold strong and not be weak in my sorrow and hurt. Thanks, and praise be to God.
Amen. Lisa

To the new ladies,
I LOVE this book! It turned my life around and saved my marriage. There truly is tremendous power in prayer. Our God is greater than any lie of the devil and He will prevail. He loves each of us so very, very much and wants our marriages healed.
For me, I believe what God wants me doing is praying for my husband, and focusing my heart, mind and soul on Him. The prayers in POPW are so powerful, and touching. I keep my copy of POPW in my car or briefcase, and pray them over my husband when I get the feeling I need to pray more. Each time I read it I find something else I need to pray about.
honey - my husband is an alcoholic too.... my story is a long one which I would detail here (I will try to find links to it and post them for you to read -- your story and mine are a lot alike) but I do want to tell you, honey, that there is HOPE in the Lord! God put our marriage back together despite all those that said "he is a loser, get rid of him" and "you're better off without him". Honey, today I am so very glad I listened to the small still voice of the Holy Spirit telling me to stay married and keep standing for my husband instead of listening to everyone in the world who said get rid of him. Jesus can and will heal you, your husband, and your marriage.
I haven't been on this board for a LONG time but I'm going to make time to come back and pray here with you all. I miss the ladies here, and the great times we had studying POPW.
Taj, I am so sorry to hear of your loss, please know I am praying for you. You blessed me so very much with all your encouragement and I greatly appreciate you. I'm praising God that He healed your marriage before He brought Mike to be with Him. My father passed away earlier this year and I believe he, like Mike, was needed in Heaven by God. Taj, you are so very special!!! May the Lord bless you abundantly,
AW
