"By the Grace of God I Am What I Am"
I know that most think I am crazy for doing the things that I do:my W, my pastor, my siblings, my friends locally. I have God on my side along with many of you all. I really am NOT looking to be a martyr as some think I am. I merely want to be molded in Jesus image as He said that He would. Jesus was the martyr when we look at it from the worldly perspective. But when we look at it from God's perspective, we see Him as the Father's gift to us so that we could be reconciled to Him.
There is no greater honor that I could bestow upon my W than to call her His gift to me. I will love her forever because she is His gift to me. I know right now that she can't see it that way but that doesn't make it any less real because she can't see it the way it really is.
------------------
God Bless,
Rob

[This message has been edited by professorg (edited November 30, 1999).]
[This message has been edited by professorg (edited November 30, 1999).]

Thanks for the link, Rob. I need to remind myself over and over and over ... and over .... that God has saved me thru Jesus .... and that's it. To minimize that act, to say that I'm unworthy IS to say that God can't save me because of it. And that's just not true.
I've got the head knowledge of that, but now to get it taking up residence in my heart!

Maya,
It's in your heart, I know it is. Just that your heart is pretty tough right now. It won't always be like that. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Professorg,
What a good devotional. Yes, we are wrong to see things from our perspective or from the world's perspective when we should view things from God's perspective.
If I am God's gift to my husband, then no matter how invaluable my husband thinks I am, I know better. I know GOD thought I was a valuable gift to him. So that is all that matters. Now I have to start seeing from a higher vantage point, instead of the pit.
AMEN!!!

Maya,
It is His little affirmations like these that make it all bearable. I too get discouraged from time to time when I take my focus off Him. But then He gets me back on track with devotionals or some scripture that I read on a given day along with affirmations from you and others.
Have a blessed day!! MONDO HUG!!!!!!!!
TNT,
It is sometimes difficult not to look at it from the pit. But I have found it looks much better from the HIGHER vantage point. The glass is always half full as opposed to half empty.
------------------
God Bless,
Rob

[This message has been edited by professorg (edited November 30, 1999).]
