It turns out that W had this year's version of influenza. She was feeling so bad that I delayed my flight east from 7am to 7pm. I ended up coming down with it too. So it's been the two of us sick. Luckily, I didn't get it quite as bad, so I have still been able to take care of her. On Saturday, she was so ill she could hardly move, but as soon as I left the house to run errands for her, she called OM. Today, I went out to do the same and she called him again. I can't help feeling betrayed each time this happens. I have spent so much time and energy trying to take care of her while she's ill.
I'm at the point, I want to just tell her to leave now. I am assuming she still plans to buy a place and move out like before, so I think it would be best if she just moved out now(as soon as she's better) while looking for a place. She would say she didn't have anywhere to go, but she could stay with OM. He would be glad to have her. The way I feel right now, he can have her with my complements(or condolences).
What a bummer!!!

Oh Heartpain - I'm sorry...
They're such sneaky pete's while they're doing this......UGH!!!!
Makes you just want to give her medicine by suppository with the aid of your foot!!!!
I don't know what to tell you...it's not OK that this guy is in her life!! He is not just a friend and she can pretend all she wants.....
Counselor should be working on her honesty problems instead of the crap she handed you about the phone call etc...sounds like she's not very good at her job - especially being that she was counseling her for a while ..... time to point these things out to this counselor do you suppose?
I would and I would also talk with your therapist about it too!!!
HUGS and I hope you feel better,
Sheba

Thanks, Sheba....
The interesting thing is that I had a phone mail at the office from Monday from her therapist. She said that W told her on Friday that I was rather displeased about the conversation she(therapist) and I had last week. She also noted that if I still wanted a session alone with her, that I should let her know and also give her the phone number of my therapist so she can talk to her before the session.
Interesting, huh????
[This message has been edited by Heartpain (edited November 30, 1999).]

nb -- We are recovering nicely, now. W just left for work. Dr told her not to return before tomorrow, but I guess the pull of OM was just too strong. Thanks for the "smiley"....
Sheba --
I guess I will try to set something up with her therapist, but it's not going to be to deal with W and I. I've given that up. You are certainly right. W needs to deal with her honesty problem. She fails to recognize how this deceit and dishonesty affect me. I told her last night that I couldn't treat her always as nicely as OM, simply because he hadn't been screwed over by her, both figuratively and literally.
Her therapist has bought in to everything W has told her. Including her "revisionist" history of our marriage. It's amazing how terrible it became after OM arrived on the scene.
